Chapter 17: Just not my day Part 2

Gajeels POV

"Now Levy you're going to end up with a bruise there for a week at the most." Mrs Lazerous informed Levy
Levy nodded with a faint smile but she immediately frowned right after, she was still hugging onto my shirt tightly and her ponytail was coming loose too, well all she ever has is a ribbon.
"What in Mavis's name happened!" a loud booming voice demanded I even covered my ears!
"Master Makarov, here so soon!" Mrs Lazerous asked puzzled.
"Well no one hurts the children of this school right under my nose." he replied sternly "now tell me the names and what happened." he said more calmly
"W-Well...these two girls, Bree Loghtfoot and Mikasa Kumagai have been harassing me since the start of the year b-but if you count last year also that would be seven months."
I looked down at the old man and he was fuming, all though I don't understand why he is just the principal of this school and al- wait seven months!
"The day I also asked for a note for my uniform was the day they threw my skirt and blouse in the girls showers." Levy sighed
"This is outrageous, I want these two girls sent to my office immediately! Their parents won't be too happy about this and a punishment is in order!" Gramps ordered
"B-But Master you don't have to go to such an ex-"
"Oh but I do Levy, you see I view all students here as my own children and I want this to be a safe environment for all. although I can't stop the everyday bickering I can stop such violent acts upon your life and well being." Gramps interrupted seriously.
Levy didn't reply and I just sat quiet the whole time.
"And you Mr. Redfox what is your business here." Gramps asked, eyeing me suspiciously
"Nothing Gramps...i was just helping out a friend" I replied
He nodded in understanding.
"Now Levy do you have a spare uniform? don't want you in Gajeels clothes all day now do we?" Mrs Lazerous asked kindly
levy shook her head.
"Oh...well we don't have any spares...in your um-"
"Size?" Levy replied smirking
"Ah yes indeed..." Mrs Lazerous replied nervously
"Don't worry about it. I didn't expect a high school to supply such a small size out of the blue" Levy said kindly
"Well we are going to call your mother. going home will probably relieve a great deal of stress and we will supply you a new uniform as soon as we can.." Mr Lazerous suddenly spoke up.
"Thank you but the thing is..." Levy replied fading off
"What?" I asked gruffly 
"Mum is at work till three, and I don't want to worry her so..."  

I looked at her curiously. What about her father? Wouldn't he be around?
"What about your father?" I asked hesitantly
Levy looked at me straight in the eye, they looked sad but I don't know why.
"He isn't exactly around anymore" She replied quietly
Around what does she mean?
"Well I guess we have no choice but to keep you here but we can't do anything about those two girls until after school when their parents pick them up." Mrs Lazerous said sadly
"I could drive her home!" I replied suddenly.
Gramps, Mrs Lazerous and Levy all looked at me curiously and I started to feel uneasy.
"I can call my mother and tell her i'm skipping school today, she'll understand.." I continued gruffly "Besides Levy's mother and my mother knwo eachother so they can talk after school"  
Gramps looked at me sternly but sighed. 
"Fine but only this once. You have to show up to most of your classes to be able to pass this year. You may be a trouble maker but if you're in my school I still consider you as family and no family hurts one another so Levy go home with Gajeel"  Gramps replied sternly.
"Um but Master...I don't really have anything else to um-"  Levy stuttered
"Don't worry already thought about that." Mrs Lazerous called out.
She then brought back a slightly smaller white t-shirt which still looked 2 sizes too big for her but Levy looked more than greatful.
"Thank you Mrs. Lazerous."  Levy mumbled before walking behind the curtains.

Not too long after Levy came out from behind the curtain and she had the new white shirt tucked into her skirt and mine held in her hand.
"Thanks Gajeel for this."  She said smiling softly
I nodded and turned to gramps.
"well see ya round gramps and make sure you do something about those bimbos.." I growled
"Shut it you brat, i'll get right onto it."
I walked out of the infirmary with levy following close behind. she caught up so she was walking next to me and I looked down to her. Since the incident in the bathroom she has been quiet too quiet.
"Aye you alright?" I asked again a little too harshly. Damn I need to get my shit together.
"Define alright.." She mumbled
I sighed and she suddenly stopped infront of her locker. She put in the combanation grabbing her bag and books. She adjusted her shirt and grabbed her neck slightly flinching when she pressed to hard on the bruised area. I imediately grabbed her bag and she was about to protest but I just glared at her and she got the hint.
We walked out of the school building and headed to my bike which was located under the sheltered area. It's always been parked there. I gave her bag back to her so she could carry it. I swung my leg onto my bike and held my hand out for Levy to get on. She just looked at the bike and sighed.
"I'm never going to get used to riding this thing." 
I chuckled.
"Well you're gonna have to get used to it." 
She grabbed my hand and lifted her self up, swinging her leg over the seat. I started the ignition and she imediately wrapped her arms around my torso, I smiled.
'I'm already used to this.' 
I drove out of the parking lot and headed up the street to where she usually walks to school.
"Oi Levy, what's your address!" I yelled
"20 Fairy road!" she replied
