As we walked into Kris's house, we walked into the living room.
On her couch sat the boy from earlier, who I assumed was Kris's brother.
As we walked in, he glanced over at us, and when he saw me, we made eye contact.
"Hey Andrew," Kris said to him.
"H-hi," he said, staring at me with a slight blush on his cheeks.
I nodded my head, then turned around to walk with Kris.
Kris and I walked upstairs, Andrew still staring at me. He was practically drooling, and I couldn't help but laugh slightly as Kris and I began upstairs.
Once we were in her room, Kris turned to me.
"You know that my brother is all over you, don't you?" She asked me with a smirk.
"Yeah, he was staring at me like crazy," I laughed, laying backwards on her bed.
"Would you ever give him a chance?" She asked me, laying on her back beside me.
"Nah," I shrugged, "probably not. He doesn't really seem like my type."
"Maybe if you got to know him better," she told me.
I shrugged, but I was already sure. I would never like him in that way.
We laid there for a while, talking and getting to know each other better.
After a while, I turned towards her, "do you have any water?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's downstairs in the fridge. The kitchen is right by the living room. Do you need me to come with you?" She asked me.
"Nah, I bet I can find it," I laughed slightly.
"Alright, will you get me a water bottle too?" She asked me.
"Sure," I said over my shoulder.
I walked downstairs, and Andrew was sitting on the couch, watching a movie on the tv.
He turned and stared at me.
"Um, hey there," I muttered, snapping him out of his daze.
He looked down at the ground and blushed.
"H-hey," he muttered.
"What movie are you watching?" I asked, sitting beside him, trying to relieve some of the tension.
He turned towards me and began speaking, without stuttering, surprisingly. His eyes lit up as he talked about this movie he loved.
"It's the outsiders. It's one of my favorite movies and it's so good and I've read the book and watched the movie a million times and I-..." a look of realization crossed his face and looked at the floor again, "sorry I'm rambling," he mumbled.
I laughed slightly, "it sounds like a cool movie. Maybe I'll watch it some time."
He smiled at me widely.
I stood up and walked into the kitchen, but before I got into it, I turned back around to Andrew.
"Do you want a water?" I asked him, "I gotta get one for Kris and me."
"Nah, thanks though," he said.
I shrugged and walked into the kitchen, grabbing two waters.
As I was walking back upstairs, I glanced over my shoulder at Andrew, who was watching me.
"Goodnight," I said, then turned back around.
"Goodnight," he called, as I walked up the stairs.
I walked up to where Kris was impatiently waiting in her room.
"Jeez, what took you so long?" She asked me, "you get lost or something?"
"I just stopped and talked to Andrew for a while," I shrugged, drinking a sip of my water.
She waggled her eyebrows suggestively and I rolled my eyes. So not gonna happen.
Eventually, we both drifted off to sleep.
