I woke up the next day and put on my clothes to go play baseball.
Luckily, my mom wasn't awake yet so I didn't get forced into inviting Lucas and Alexia.
I walked outside and Andrew caught up with me.
"Hey," he muttered, smiling at me.
I found myself wondering if he knew how crazy his smile made me feel.
"Hey," I said back, smiling at him.
When we arrived at the baseball diamond, Danny walked up to all of us, Paige holding tightly onto his hand, and for once, it didn't bother me at all. Not even a little bit.
We all sat in the dugout, talking.
"So, what time is that wedding on Friday?" Kris asked, looking at me as Caden held onto her waist.
"It's at 4:30," I said, drinking the soda that I was holding.
They all nodded and we continued sitting there for a while longer. Finally, we decided to get back to playing baseball.
Suddenly, my worst nightmare came waltzing onto the baseball diamond.
Alexia walked in, swinging her hips way more than necessary, and sat in the dugout.
Soon after, Lucas walked in and walked towards us.
"Hey guys," he said with a smile, and we all greeted him.
I glanced over at Alexia and she stood up.
Please don't walk over here. Please don't walk over here. Please don't walk over here.
No such luck.
She walked directly over to Andrew, who stood beside me.
"Andrew, do you think you could teach me to play baseball?" She asked, using her best puppy dog eyes and puckering out her bottom lip.
She put her hand on his shoulder and scooted way closer to him than necessary.
I clenched my fists and attempted to compose myself.
I saw Andrew's gaze flicker towards me, then he looked back at Alexia, scooting away from her and towards me.
"Sorry, but I can't. You might be a lost cause. I mean, you're trying to play in a skirt," he said and I attempted to hold back my laughter, "I bet someone else could teach you." He shrugged.
She rolled her eyes and glared slightly.
"Fine," she mumbled, turning around and walking back to the dugout sassily.
I began laughing as she walked away, as did the rest of the guys.
We all began playing baseball, and we played until the evening.
I walked home with Lucas and Alexia, and when we got inside, my mom glanced toward Alexia and me.
"Hey, you two! Since the wedding is tomorrow evening, tomorrow we will be going to the nail salon to get mani-pedis, then to the hair salon to get our hair done.
We both shrugged and said okay, then I walked up to my room.
I smiled slightly as I thought about tomorrow. Maybe this all wouldn't be so bad.
I walked to my window and saw Andrew in his room, and he glanced over at me.
I gestured for him to open his window, as I did too.
"I can't play baseball tomorrow," I told him, "I've gotta get my hair and nails done for the wedding, but I'll see you there. You're going right?" I asked him.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he said with a smile.
"Goodnight, Andrew," I said with a smile.
"Goodnight, Olivia," he said, and we both closed our windows.
I was becoming pretty accustomed to him calling me that, although if anyone else ever called me it I probably would just beat the crap out of them.
But from Andrew, I didn't mind at all.
