The next day arrived and I quickly got up, throwing on a blue baseball jersey and jean shorts and putting on my black converse. I also put my hair in a braid and put on my favorite grey baseball cap backwards.

I woke up Alexia and Lucas, and she slipped on jean shorts and a pink tank top, along with some white converse. Now that I didn't hate her, it was easy to see how effortlessly pretty she was, her long hair cascading down her back, her large lips always covered in lip gloss.

Finally, we were all ready to leave. We walked out the door and to the baseball diamond, meeting everyone in the dugout as usual.

We all sat down and I saw Connor glancing at Alexia, and she would blush and smile slightly at him.

Suddenly, I thought of a brilliant plan.

"Connor, Alexia wants to learn how to play baseball. You think you could teach her?" I asked him, grinning slightly.

"Sure," he muttered dreamily, and they walked away together.

Andrew smirked at me, knowing I had planned it, and I grinned back.

The rest of the day went by slowly, and finally, it was time for us all to get ready to watch fireworks.

We all went to our houses to put on different clothes.

I decided to make at least a slight effort, so I put on Jean shorts that were a little shorter than I'm used to that had lace on the bottom, along with a black top that was only slightly cropped.

The shorts were incredibly short in the back, so, in order to keep myself from being perved on by a bunch of teenage boys, I grabbed a red flannel and tied it around my waist.

I slipped on my white converse and was ready to leave.

I walked downstairs, waited for Lucas and Alexia, and met everyone at the baseball diamond.

As I walked up, Andrew stared at me for a long time, mouth slightly agape.

"Aw, Andrew's pervin' a dish, again," Xavier said, rolling his eyes.

"Shut up," he muttered.

"Not my fault you swoon every time she walks up," Xavier shrugged and I saw Andrew glare at him.

I walked over to where we were all laying blankets on the ground to create a spot to watch the fireworks, and I laid down the few blankets I'd brought.

It was gonna be dark soon so everyone sat in their spots.

I watched as Connor and Alexia sat beside each other, Caden and Kris, and also Paige and Danny.

I grinned at all of them, and I was incredibly happy for them.

I was looking up at the sky and waiting for fireworks when I felt someone sit beside me.

I didn't have to look over, I knew it was Andrew, and I slightly smiled to the sky.

After waiting there for a few minutes, I heard a loud bang! The firework show was starting.

Fireworks began flying into the air, each one more beautiful than the last.

I watched in awe as all the fireworks went off. I'd never seen a firework show quite this amazing.

My hands lay beside me on the blanket, and I felt Andrew's lay absentmindedly beside it.

My heart began beating far too quickly as his hand laid over mine. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach, but honestly, to properly explain the way I felt, I think I'd have to say lions or elephants or something much bigger.

Our fingers intertwined and I couldn't help but think how perfectly our hands fit in each other's.

I gathered up enough courage to lay my head on his shoulder and lean close to him as we stared into the sky.

Now this is my idea of perfect.
