The next day, after Alexia, Lucas, and Bill had gone back to their house, my mother walked into my room.

"Hey sweetheart, I gotta talk to you," she said.

"Okay..." I said nervously. That sentence never leads to anything good.

"So, since Bill and his kids will be moving in soon, we were thinking about moving to a bigger house about fifteen miles away. It's not for sure yet but-"

"No we can't! Please mom, we can't," I pleaded.

She looked surprised for a second, "Well, why not?"

"I wouldn't live next to Andrew anymore!" I blurted out before I could think better of it, and she smirked at me as I blushed furiously, looking down at my comforter "and also um Kris and everyone else and the sandlot," I muttered embarrassedly.

She looked at me for a second, seemingly debating as she tilted her head sideways and quirked an eyebrow, "I suppose you're right. Maybe this house will be okay. After all, I can't separate young love," she shrugged.

"What do you mean, young love? We're not in love. We're not even dating!" I said as she exited the room laughing.

"Yet," I heard her mumble but I just ignored it, my cheeks burning hot.

That day, I looked out my window and saw Kris and Andrew walking to the baseball diamond. I opened the window.

"Kris!" I called, "i can't go today, I gotta help Bills family unpack! Tell the others!"

I ignored Andrew entirely. I know I shouldn't be mad, because he can stare at whoever he wants when we aren't even dating, but I was infuriated.

He tried to smile at me and I glared and slammed the window shut.

I turned around and walked downstairs, spending the entire day helping them get all their stuff in our house.

When we were finally done, my mom got Lucas, Alexia, and me to all sit in the living room while she and Bill stood in front of us.

"So kids, the wedding will be this Friday, so tomorrow, we will go shopping for your dresses and tux," she smiled.

Bill smiled too, but there was something strange about it. Before I could analyze it more, I realized our little meeting was over.

I glanced at the clock and it was only 3:00, so everyone would still be playing baseball.

I looked at my mom, "Can I go play baseball now?" I asked her.

"Sure," she said smiling, "Alexia, Lucas, you can go with her." I sighed as I turned around and already saw Alexia fixing her hair.

We walked all the way to the diamond and walked in.

I walked towards the dugout, and Alexia sat by Andrew again. She kept smiling at him, and I groaned.

Playing baseball that day, Andrew kept looking at me and attempting to smile at me, but each time I just glared and turned away.

After it was all over and we began walking home, Andrew ran up to me, dust kicking up slightly under his sneakers.

"Ollie, I gotta talk to ya," he said softly, grabbing my arm and turning me around.

I yanked my arm away and glared at him, "Won't your girlfriend be mad?" I asked. If looks could kill, he'd certainly be dead. I knew I sounded like a moron, I mean, Andrew and I weren't even dating and here I was acting insane, but I couldn't help it.

"What?" He asked, confused.

"Jeez, don't act dumb. I know you like Alexia," I muttered, frowning.

"What? Seriously? You think I like Alexia?" He started laughing insanely.

"Quit laughing!" I yelled, "there's nothing funny. You like her and she's a jerk, just warning you."

He looked at me seriously now.

"Olivia-," he began, but I cut him off.

"It's Ollie," I muttered.

"Olivia," he said again, and I decided not to argue, "I don't like Alexia, and if you think I'd like someone like her, then you don't know me as well as I thought you did."

I sighed softly, turning away.

"Ollie?" He asked softly.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Why did you care so much that I liked her anyways?"
