The morning of the day we would go to the carnival, I excitedly put on my baseball clothes.

I walked to Kris's house, since she and Paige were finally back from some camp they went to and they would get to go to the carnival.

I knocked on her door, blowing a bubble with the gum in my mouth.

Andrew answered the door, and he didn't have a shirt on.

The gum bubble popped loudly and I stared wide-eyed. I didn't realize how long id been staring, until he cleared his throat.

My gaze quickly went back up to his face.

He was smiling and laughing slightly.

My cheeks burned, and I quickly started talking, "I-uh-um c-can I-I mean-Where's Kris?" I finally said, avoiding his gaze.

He laughed again, "she's upstairs in her room," he told me, moving out of the way so I could walk in.

I quickly walked up to Kris's room, my cheeks still feeling hot.

"Why you blushing so much?" She asked me in an amused voice.

"I-I'm n-not," I stuttered, turning away from her.

She laughed, "It was Andrew, wasn't it?" She asked with a laugh.

I didn't answer, just stared at the ground until I could get rid of the blush on my cheeks.

Eventually, we were both walking downstairs, gloves in hand, when I saw Andrew.

I'm sure I probably blushed all over again, especially when he flashed a perfect smile.

We all walked to the baseball diamond together, talking and laughing.

When we arrived, the day went agonizingly slow, and all I could think about was the carnival.

Finally, it was time for us all to go home and get ready.

Kris got her outfit and came to my house to get ready together, and we told the guys we'd meet them at the carnival.

"Do you think Caden will like this outfit?" She asked, holding up a light blue skirt and a white lacy top.

"It's adorable!" I said smiling.

"Thanks, what are you gonna wear?" She asked me with a grin.

"Probably just jeans and a baseball jersey. My usual," I muttered with a laugh.

"Don't you want to dress up for Andrew?" She asked, smirking.

"W-what? Why would I dress up for h-him. I don't like him. Shut up. I don't know what you're trying to say," I said defensively and she started laughing.

After a second of silence, I finally said, "Fine, I'll dress up. But only because you insist," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

She laughed, "right," she said sarcastically, smirking at me.

We both looked through my closet and decided on a black skirt and a light pink tank top, which I paired with my white converse.

She pulled out makeup and did hers quickly, then looked at her watch.

"Want me to do yours?" She asked me, since we had half an hour until we had to leave.

"Sure," I shrugged, sitting in front of her.

She did some simple eyeshadow, lip gloss, and a bit of blush.

I probably won't need blush, I thought to myself. Wait, why am I thinking that? I don't like Andrew!!!! I yelled in my mind, then cleared the thoughts from my head.

After she'd finished, she curled my naturally straight hair and we were ready to go.

As we walked to the gates of the carnival, and I saw all of the guys, I instantly became self-conscious.

Theyd never even seen me in anything except t shirts, jeans, and a pony tail. Now I was wearing this.

What will they say? I thought to myself as I bit my lip.
