"Mr. Season, are you even listening to me?"
I looked up to meet Ms. Calladen's gaze, giving her a lazy smile, "of course I am ma'am."
She narrowed her eyes at me, "listen up Mr. Season, if you're truly honest about wanting to come back here to study, I want you to be serious about it. You don't have much room left for slip ups Alex. I expect that if you're signed up for the classes, that means that you will actually go to them without the intent of disrupting it. You don't have any strikes left Alex. You could be a great student if you applied yourself- don't mess this up."
I nodded, "can I go now? I can't really be a good student if I miss a bunch of class and I've already missed first as it is."
Ms. Calladen sighed, "go ahead Mr. Season."
I got up, but before I could get through the door, she stopped me.
"Alex, wait!"
I turned back and looked at her expectantly so she continued, "why did you come back? Just out of curiosity. I distinctly remember you saying you were never coming back to this place at the end of last year."
I gave her a half smirk, "I came back because for some stupid reason that I can't understand, she makes me care."
With that, I left Ms. Calladen sitting at her desk, a very confused look on her face.

I gathered up my books and crutches and headed out of my second period. after English Literature, I'd had Writers Craft. Yeah, I was a little English obsessed. Domonic had been in my second period but we were on opposite sides of the classroom and none of the guys had been in it. Now, I was headed to lunch. The only problem was that I had no idea where the cafeteria was.
"Hey, you lost yet?"
I turned my head to see Domonic, with Chloe trailing behind.
I grinned at him, "are you kidding me? I know exactly where I'm going. If you wanted to show me where the cafeteria was just for fun though..."
Domonic chuckled, "alright, just for fun."
"So" Chloe started, "have you met any of the Seasons or their cousins yet?"
"Well, I haven't seen a single one of them since I got here" I told them.
At least I was being honest.
"Oh my god, I can't believe it! You have GOT to meet them!" Chloe exclaimed.
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "right."
"Trust me" Chloe insisted with a grin. "you won't be rolling your eyes once you meet them. They are gods."
Domonic shook his head, "no, trust me. She is majorly over exaggerating."
I laughed quietly as we entered the cafeteria. All three of us headed over to the line and I tried not to trip anyone with my crutches. I scanned the caf for the guys as we waited, but apparently they weren't here. I took another step forward in line, but because I hadn't been paying attention, I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, sorry" I stumbled back a bit.
A large hand wrapped around my upper arm, "Whoa. Well, hello there beautiful."
