I literally shoved my way out of the classroom at the end of second period, thankful that lunch had finally rolled around. People had been pointing and whispering all morning, apparently convinced that my family and I had murdered Brock, despite the fact that he wasn't actually dead. If things continued like this, it was going to be a really long day.

When the bell rang, I had to stop myself from letting out an excited whoop. Finally, lunch was here. I picked up my bag and swung it over my shoulder before heading out into the hall. Once I was out of the classroom, I pulled out my phone and quickly shot Alex a text asking where I should meet the guys.

"Hey, Jack!" a female voice called.

I turned around and smiled at Chloe and Domonic who was being dragged along behind her, "hey."

"Are you... are you wearing guys pants?" Chloe questioned, "I didn't really notice this morning cause you left so quickly but..."

I blushed slightly, "uh, yeah, they're guys."

Chloe raised an eyebrow at me, "I seriously need to take you shopping. What are you doing after school?"

"I'm pretty sure that I have plans with Alex because I made him suffer through going somewhere with me yesterday" I replied.

"Okay, well, do you know how long it's going to take?" she asked, "could we go out after? The mall is open until nine."

"Wait can I come?" Domonic questioned, "you guys can shop and I can check out all of the other girls that are out and about in the mall."

Chloe gave him a flat look, "No, Dom, you can't come just to check out girls! No, Jack spends way too much time around guys. She's always hanging out with the Season's and their cousins. Tonight, we're going to have a girls night."

"Well fine then..." Domonic pouted, jutting out his bottom lip dramatically.

I let out a chuckle, "you look like a five year old when you do that."

Chloe rolled her eyes, "he is a five year old."

Domonic opened his mouth to counter what she said, but my phone beeped and cut him off before he could. I pulled it out of my pocket and opened up the message from Alex.

Alex: Bleachers.

"The guys are on the bleachers" I explained, putting my phone away.

Domonic nodded, "and I assume that that's where we're going?"

"Well, if you guys don't want to eat with them then you don't have to come" I trailed off.

"Of course we want to" Chloe smiled.

I grinned and nodded and together, we all headed outside.

"So, you're finally off your crutches, huh?" Domonic began as we made our way to the bleachers.

I let out a content sigh, "yep, I'm officially crutch free."

"That's great!" Chloe grinned, "that will make going to the mall a lot easier, you know, if you actually can go."

We began making our way up the bleachers to where the guys were sitting and I smiled at Alex when he caught my eye.

"It definitely makes going up the bleachers a lot easier" I announced as we got to the guys.

"I'm sure it does" Chloe laughed.

"This sucks" Zach muttered as Chloe, Domonic and I sat down.

"Yep" Chase agreed.
