I smiled as i put on my dress in the fitting room. I walked out without my mask on, i saw Lucy and we looked great.

"Oh! You two look absolutely lovely." The Lady said. I blushed.

"I'm so sorry, i never got your name." I said to her. She smiled, her kind aged face had a twinkle of affection in her face.

"Linda Godmother, that's my name." She said. I smiled.

"Now, lets get you two ready, you have less than an hour." Linda said. I sat at the pink vanity and watched as Linda worked magic on my hair. She put it up in an elegant but, but left two strands of hair out on either side of my face and curled them. She put pink eye-shadow on me, with black winged eye-liner. Lucy had decided to do her own make-up, so she was at a separate vanity doing her own make-up. I added some mascara and put my glasses on.

"tisk, tisk, sorry Poppy. No glasses for you tonight." Linda said. She passed me my contact lenses. I groaned, but reluctantly put them on. Linda was so helpful. She did seem familiar. She wouldn't let me look at the mirror.

"I want you to be surprised when i am done with you." she would repeat. She reminded me of my Grandma that lives in Florida. She would always make me homemade ice-cream. But her name isn't Linda. Its Patti.

Finally, when i was threw i was able to look in a mirror. I loved how i looked in my mother's dress. I actually looked just like my Mom. I couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you so so much!" i exclaimed. I hugged Mrs. Godmother. She made me smile even brighter. I looked at the time, me and Lucy were half and hour late, so guests must still be arriving. Before i was able to walk down the stairs, Lucy pulled me aside.

"Hey, I am planning to leave at Midnight, meet me by my car." She informed me. I nodded. Before we went down the stairs, me and Lucy took a quick picture and continued. Me and Lucy took our time walking down the Grand Staircase to the ballroom. Suddenly, all eyes were on us. We had our masks on (thank goodness, there were so many people) and everyone soon looked at us. I saw Andy at the bottom of the staircase. He held his arm out for Lucy. She looked at me, blushed, and took his hand into the ballroom. I walked to the ballroom and started to look around. I saw someone coming straight at me. She and another girl grabbed my arms and pulled me to the nearest coat closet. I fought, but wasn't strong enough. They pulled off there masks, it was Mia and Ella. I was terrified.

"Look Poppy, you can't look better than us! Especially at this dance, its MY dance. Plus, you can't wear this old thing to the ball. I mean, its practically falling to pieces." She grabbed an edge and pulled, the seam teared.

i screamed.
