Chapter 39

The school day couldn't go by fast enough! Biology lasted forever and me & Lucy just twitched the whole English period. When the bell rang to signal intervention me and Lucy sprinted towards the exit. I told Alex to meet us at the office during intervention. We walked down and when we got there, Alex was already there. She looked more cleaned up now, and she looked really pretty without the layers of make-up that she had on earlier today. We signed ourselves out, and we ran out to Lucy's car. Alex jumped in the backseat. Lucy started to drive, and then struck up conversation.
"Hi, I'm Lucy!" She said. Alex smiled.
"Hi, i'm Alex." she said. They were so funny, they just kept talking. I am so happy that they are getting along. Alex seemed so shy, and delicate. I was happy that i would eventually get to know her. I really like her, she makes me so happy. It also made me happy that spring was coming, the snow was melting away, and the sun was out. As we drew nearer to my house my nerves just kept bouncing around. I really want to love my new car. I saw my house in the distant and squeeled!!! There parked in the garage, was an old fashioned, light blue bug!!!! I squeeled, and nearly screamed but was able to contain myself!!! When Lucy stopped the car, i bolted from it and lunged at my beautiful new car!!! Lucy and Alex weren't that far behind.
"Wow, this is so cool!" Alex exclaimed, she was looking at the inside. The blue car was a convertable, and the seats were black and leather. This was so cool!!!
"Do you guys want to go for a spin?!" I asked. They both smiled and nodded their heads.
"Lets go and grab some food and then we can go." i said. We all ran inside. We were getting a little cold, and we stopped off our shoes. Lucy headed straight for the kitchen, while i decided to show Alex around. I grabbed her hand and ran up the stairs with her to show her my room.
"This is my room!" i said. I gestured to the room, and then flopped on my bed. Alex walked around. She was wearing a really thin pink sweater, and a blue tank top.
"Do you want a jacket?" i asked. She looked at me and shook her head. I rolled my eyes, i got up and walked to the big black trash bag by the door. I dug around in it, and grabbed the cute zip-up; black jacket. I threw it at her and smiled.
"Yes, yes you do." Alex grinned at me and wrapped herself in the jacket. I walked into my closet and put on a plain T-Swift shirt and walked out. Me and Alex walked downstairs and met Lucy in the kitchen, which was getting louder and louder. The sounds of pots and pans and doors opening and closing. Lucy was shoving food in a huge picnic basket and by the time she finished 99% of the cupboards and the refrigerator was empty.
"Got enough food?" i asked her, my gut was clenching from the contained laughter i had. grabbed one end, and Alex grabbed the other, and we lugged the unusually large picnic basket from the kitchen, to my new car.
