Chapter 12

I looked around the ballroom. I saw almost everyone looking at me. I felt super nervous. I hate it when people look at me! I saw a lot of peoples eyes glued on me. i looked around and saw Rebekah and Kylee!!! I glided over to them. It was really weird. I am usually have never walked this gracefully. It was like magic. I finally pushed through enough people to get next to them.

"Uh...Can i help you?" She asked. I laughed.

"Bek, it's me.....Poppy!" I whispered. Rebekah and Kylee looked at me weird.

"Poppy? Is that really you?" Kylee asked, in her same tone voice. I blushed and tugged at the dress a little. It was a little long for my taste, but short enough for everyone to see the shine of my shoes.

"Yeah, it's me." I said. Rebekah and Kylee smiled at me, and hugged me. I thought for a moment. Everyone thinks that Kylee is so mysterious and scary. In all honesty, she isn't she has just had a tough life, like Rebekah. They were both given up to the adoption/foster care center. That's where the two of them met. Rebekah's parents just left her. She came home from school one day and they were gone. She never heard from them, ever again. There story's make me so sad. It makes me happy to at least know that i have a family that loves me and cares for me. We talked for a good ten minutes. Until i remembered that my date should be here soon.

"I have to go, i need to find my date." I blushed furiously. Kylee and Bek laughed and waved good-bye. I smiled and wandered to the front entrance. I didn't have to look to far to see a cute boy with curly hair in the front. I walked over.

"Hi, are you Poem_Boy16?" I asked. He smiled under his mask. His eyes were very pretty. They sparkled like diamonds.

"Yeah, are you Dreamer_Girl 18?" he asked. I nodded. We were silent for but a moment. He soon held his hand out to me. I smiled and took it. He led me back into the ballroom. The song "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran was playing.

"Care to dance?" he said. I took his hand. He put his hands on my waist . I put my arms around his neck. We swayed, and took a few steps. As the song went a little faster he started to spin me. Eventually, he started to spin me. And spin me and spin me. He finally dipped me and we began to actually waltz. I was blushing and then there was 3 blue spotlights on three different couples, and we were one of them. The other two couples were Lucy & Andy, Me and Poem_Boy16, and Mia and Tony. Mia was glaring at Lucy and me like nothing else. Her and tony got a little too close to Lucy. I got uncomfortable. Suddenly, Lucy fell. The spotlight went off and there was me and Mia left. Mia just laughed. I soon just got ticked off. Some tango music started to play. I knew exactly what i wanted to do. I couldn't help it i got really into it. I was beginning to be spun vigorously and dipped well. Mia's trailing dress couldn't keep up with the beat and she tripped over the hem of her skirt and fell into the punch bowl. Almost everyone started to laugh, even me and Poem_Boy16. We didn't want to get into trouble, so he grabbed my hand and we ran off into the woods behind the castle. After a few moments there was a white light. We walked towards it, and there was a beautifully gazebo. It wasn't here before, and looked like it was sparkling with glittering gold. I smiled. He pulled me close to him and slow danced with me in the glittering gazebo.
