I jolted upwards from my bed. There was sunlight streaming in through my curtains. My breathing heaved, and my head was spinning. My lips were chapped and dry. I stood up, it was Tuesday. I had school today. I walked into my closet. Ever since i had emptied it, its been so bare. Lucy promised that she would take me shopping on Saturday. I still didn't want to repeat any outfits, so i dug around in Dad's closet. He always keeps Mom's clothes in there, so i emptied them all and filled up my closet. Mom was always an old fashioned person, but she always had some pretty fun clothes. I put on a black tank-top and slipped on one of Mom's favorite red poncho's. I slipped on a pair of tight jeans, and some low cut, brown boots. I found all my books and my hobo bag, and walked outside. Lucy's pink bug was waiting for me out there. I smiled and hopped into the car. We listened to music on the way to the school. I was scared to go back there because i didn't want anyone to stare at me, especially Jullian. Luckily, its a new semester. New schedule. Hopefully, i wont have any classes with him. If i did, i was going to go and change the class out. I wasn't going to have a phys-co around me. When Lucy parked in the school parking lot, i looked up my new schedule.
Homeroom: Miss Bride
1.- A.P Calculus - Mrs. Mccloy
2.- Drivers Ed - Mr. Boy
3.- Biology - Mr. Vowels
4.- English - Miss Anderson
This was my "A" day schedule, it's going to be SOOO fun having 3 of my 4 core classes in one day. I compared mine with Lucy's. We have English together. Disappointing that we don't have more, but it's all okay. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked towards Mrs. McCloy's room. I took a seat and sat down. I took out my composition notebook. A.P calculus usually has a maximum of 10 students because not many people can do this. 4 more people walked in, 3 boys and a girl. The girl looked a little nervous.
"Hi, do you want to sit here?" i asked her. She looked relieved. She set her black bag down on the floor and took out a spiral bound notebook and pen.
"I'm Poppy" I said, i smiled at her. I'm trying to make more friends, so might as well start here. She smiled at the ground, she opened her mouth to say something, but Rebekah walked in.
"Hey, Loser." she said. She smiled at me. I smiled back. She called all of her friends that, so i wasn't offended. I looked back at the girl next to me.
"You were going to say something." i said. She smiled and opened her mouth again, but this time Mrs. McCloy walked in.
"Alright everyone, shut up and open your books." There were 8 people in the class now. I felt bad that she kept getting cut off, but i would just talk to her after class. After about 30 minutes of watching Mrs. McCloy lecture us, my mind began to drift over to her. She had black hair, and really pretty blue eyes. She reminded me very vaguely of someone, but i couldn't put my finger on it. I pushed the thought away and focused my attention back on the lecture. An hour later, the bell rang to signal us to go to the next class. I stood up an d gathered some things. I tapped her on the shoulder,
"I'm sorry. I wasn't able to get your name." i said, smiling. She blushed.
"My name is Alex, Alex Fullbuster." she said. I inhaled sharply, but kept my smile up.
