As we sped down the road, the rain hit the windshield like hail. We laughed and talked all the way to Lucy's house. My hair was wet, and my Mother's dress was soaked. Yet, I was still smiling to my hearts content.

"So, that girl in the beautiful blue ball gown, was you?!?" Lucy exclaimed. I smiled and nodded. Lucy had been asking me questions the whole drive to her house, and I told her every last detail. Even the part about my Prince Charming.

"You are just like Cinderella!!!" she kept on repeating. I never disagreed with her, because in a way. I kinda was. I looked down at my feet. My crystal shoe was still there, shining in the rainy mist. I smiled. I would never forget this wonderful evening. Lucy made a right hand turn into Rosewood. Which is where she lived. Rosewood was one of the richest neighborhoods in all of Oregon. All the houses were huge and absolutely gorgeous to the "t". I was so jealous of Lucy, she got to live in a beautiful house. She pulled into her overly large garage. We ran inside to avoid getting even more drenched than we already were. We walked into her house. The first thing I noticed was the white and tan living room. It had pink lilies in a vase on the coffee table.

Lucy? Is that you?" came a sweet voice from the kitchen.

"yes Melissa!" Lucy called back. The next thing I knew, a very beautiful women came walking towards us. She had soft brown curls, with greem eyes, and a very kind looking face. She smiled at me.

"You must be Poppy!" she exclaimed. I smiled. She gave me a small hug. She was wearing a simple blue blouse with a white apron on.

"I have something for you, your Aunt drove this over for you." Her mother ran to the kitchen, then came back with a thick envelope. For an envelope, it was pretty heavy.

"Thank you." I said. Lucy kissed her Mother, and then pulled me upstairs to her room. Lucy's room was absolutely beautiful, It was a wooden looking room, surrounded by glass windows, Her bed was round and had a large canopy hanging over it. She had no carpet, just beautiful hard wood flooring. Her room wasn't huge, it was just large and beautiful. She also had a matching vanity (with tons of make-up stacked up on it) a dresser, and a flat screen television!!! (I probably looked like a gaping toed) Lucy opened the doors to her closet, it looked absolutely huge. It looked similar to the one in The Princess Diaries 2. She even had tiara's! TIARA'S I SAY!!! I felt so envious of her right then and there. She pranced into her closet and grabbed a roll of sweat-pants and a t-shirt. She threw them at my face.

"That's your stepmom?" I asked. She smiled at me and nodded. I laughed and walked into her PERSONAL BATHROOM that is connected to her BEDROOM! I changed quickly, but also took time to look at the beautiful decor in the room. I walked out in her Harry Potter sweatpants and black tank top. Lucy wasn't in the room though. I walked to the vanity and picked up the heavy envelope that i had recieved from Father. I quickly ripped open the letter. Three things spilled onto my lap. A thick sheet of tan paper, a smaller, thinner envelope, and a thin handwritten letter. I picked the things up off my lap and set them on the vanity. I opened Father's letter first.

Dear Poppy.

I have two very important peices of news for you. The first one is, that i have been assigned to return home. I have a piece that i am writing about Oregon, so we will be moving there as soon as i finish the piece that i am writing about London. I have already purchased a house in Rosewood. I heard that it is a beautiful neighborhood. I have also picked out the perfect room for you as well. The house resembles a castle and has a tower at the very top. If i know you well, i know that you like high up places, so i descided to give you the highest room in the house, it is also one of the largest rooms as well. There was also a second bit of news that i hope will find you well. I have fallen in love again. I never thought that i would be able to fall in love ever again, but i have achieved it. Her name is Amanda Tremayne. She is a widow with two lovely daughters of her own. She is here in England with me now,but i will be taking her home with me. We have eloped and hope that this is all right with you. I hope that you will be alright. I do have one small request of you. The deed to the new house is inside this envelope along with a key. Would you move some of your larger things into your new bedroom? I love you to the moon and back infinite times, Butterfly.

Love,
Father

I sat there for just a moment. Dad hasn't called me Butterfly since i was 10. That was the nickname that my Mother would call me, because when i was little i would just adore them. I just couldn't believe it. Father is now married. I was in shock, but was somehow okay with it. I took a look at the deed and key, and slipped them into the envelope again. I looked at the much smaller envelope and opened it. Inside were pictures. The first one i saw was Father and his new wife. This must have been taken before the wedding. Father had his usually handsome face.He was still young, only in his late 30's. His black hair was nearly flying in the windy area, his green eyes looked overjoyed to have found love again. Holding his hand next to him must be Amanda. She had red, fiery hair, with hard brown eyes that looked nearly black. I looked at a different picture that had them in a church with no one else but a priest and two girls. Father and his new bride were kissing in this photograph. I quickly moved pictures. The next had the two girls, who were obviously twins. They wore matching outfits. The one on the left had a pink dress with black flowers on the hem and a black bow tied behind her. The one on the right had the small dress on, but was green. They both had these wicked, and troublish grins on there faces. Below the photo, Father had scribbled their names. "Elise and Elli" Of course they had matching names. I thought to myself. The last few pictures made me smile beyond. They were old pictures of me and Mom, almost a week before she died. I had forgotten that Father had taken these. I will make sure to keep these in a safe place. I was quickly inspired. I grabbed a piece of paper from the vanity and a purple pen and began to write Father back at once.

Dearest Father,

I am most delighted to hear that you have found love again! I am so proud of you! When you return, i promise to make you a large "Welcome Home" dinner. I also will enclose with this short letter a picture of me and my new friend, Lucy. I know that when you meet her you will just adore her! I will be sure to go see the new house. Love you!!!

Love ,
Poppy

I took the selfie that me and Lucy had taken from my purse and pushed it into the envelope. I sealed it, and stuck into my purse. At that exact moment, Lucy came in. She had a tray of hot chocolate and and sugar cookies. She smiled at me. I was happy to see her.
