Ava's POV
I did not just say what I thought I just said. I don't like Chris. I don't. We met almost two weeks ago. You can't like a guy that fast. It's humanly impossible. I think. I wouldn't know actually since I've never really liked anyone before.
I may have had a few mutual crushes but never have I ever actually liked someone before.
It's already been five minutes since Chris called Daisy and I was starting to lose interest in waiting around. Before I could get up to leave, a horn honked me back to my senses and I spun to see Chris smirking at me through the window of his black shiny, sleek sports car.
Lord take the wheel, I'm in love.
With the car. Of course.
I walk up to the passenger side but stop short when I see someone else sitting there. A girl.
"Sweetheart, get in the back! Quickly please!" He yells.
I roll my eyes, opening the car door and getting in. "Where are we going?"
Chris smirks thorough the mirror. "You'll see, sweetheart."
I shake my head, shutting the door and buckling in. Chris starts the engine and we quietly start driving.
"Alright lemme break the silence by saying hi! I'm Catherine. This idiots cousin." The girl turns to smile at me and I smile back, feeling relieved.
So she's his cousin. Good. Wait a minute, why is that good? I'm not jealous or anything!
"I'm Ava-"
She cuts me off with a chuckle. "Don't worry, I know. Chris spent the entire car ride here talking about you." She winks at me and Chris whines.
"Cathy! I did not!"
I stifle a laugh as I give her a sly high five. Chris glares at me.
"I saw that sweetheart."
I pretend to act innocent about it. "Saw what?"
He sighs irritatedly, then turns on the radio. Imagine Dragons blast through the speakers which lightens my mood.
"They are my favorite!" I squeal and Cathy cheers.
"Same girl!" She shrieks.
We start singing along and Chris let's a small smile slip out. During the entertainment, he pulls into a cozy looking restaurant.
