Ava's POV
Today we were going to the lake house. We were coming back on Sunday so we had about 2 days to spend there.
School finished and Daisy and I waited outside for Jacob to come out. The three of us were going to my house. We had already packed before hand and Chris was gonna pick us up at my place.
"Where is that kid?" Daisy stares at her wrist watch then looks at the school doors.
I blow out some air. "Probably making out with Dean in the janitors closet." Daisy and I crack up with laughter.
"Why you laughing?" Jacob says out of nowhere scaring us.
His shirt and hair were a little messed and his face was red. I smirk. So I was right.
"Had fun?" I suggest making Jacob blush.
"Oh shut up." He mumbles.
We started walking towards my house.
"Hey Ava!" Jacob exclaims.
"What?" I turn to him.
"You don't have to be Chris's fake girlfriend at the lake house." He says making me smile.
"Oh yeah! Thank god!" I sigh in fake relief although I really feel disappointed.
I still hadn't told the two I liked Chris. I'd tell them at the lake house when we it was just us three.
We get to my house and my mom greets us as we enter.
"Hello you three! Are y'all excited?" She grins and we nod.
"Yeah. Hey, where's my parents Aunt Sarah?" Jacob asks my mom to which she just shrugs.
"Probably making out-"
"I don't wanna know!" Jacob exclaims, covering his ears as we crack up.
"Hey Telly!" My dad ruffles my hair, going to stand beside my mom.
"Dad! Why do you always do that?" I whine as he rolls his eyes.
"Cause I'm your dad." He replies making me roll my eyes in return.
"God you two are one in the same." Daisy says, looking back and forth between my dad and I.
I smile innocently. "You don't say?"
Daisy whacks my arm. "You know what I meant."
I stick out my tongue in reply. We are very mature adults. Well technically I'm seventeen turning eighteen in about two weeks. Exciting isn't it?
A honk from outside catches our attention. Chris.
"Have fun! And be safe!" My mom kisses my forehead then sends me off.
We leave the house and I see Chris waiting for us. I sit in the passenger seat and Jacob and Daisy sit with Dean in the back seat.
"Hey guys!" I say, putting on my seatbelt. Chris pulls onto the road.
