Ava's POV

"So you're gonna tell him?!" Daisy exclaims over the phone.

"Yeah. But you better be there to hold me when he rejects me." I tell her.

She scoffs. "Please. He's gonna like you back. And you know news is spreading like wildfire around here."

I furrow my eyebrows. "News?"

I can imagine her nodding her head. "Yeah. Apparently you and Chris 'broke up'."

I flinch. "Yeah. I may have told him to do that."

Daisy sighs. "You really need to learn how to think before you speak."

"I know. I just was overwhelmed and Tina was being a bitch and I just...I'm just an idiot." I sigh.

I had told Daisy the events that happened between Chris and I yesterday. After the pep talk from the my brothers an Caroline, I had called Daisy. Daisy had called Jacob who told Dean who told Tyrone who told Denise and yeah. All but mChris know of my big confession today.

"Well, you better hurry your butt to school today so you can tell your lover how much you like him." She jokes and I glare archer through the phone.

"Oh shut up Daisy!" I exclaim and she laughs, my cheeks heating up.

"Just hurry up, okay? I've just seen Chris and he looks gloomier than a rainy day." She finally says then hangs up the phone.

God, my best friend is crazy. I out my phone away, hitching my bag over my shoulder more. I decided to walk to school today as I didn't feel like driving. It was helping me clear my mind.

I turned the corner, the school getting closer to me when I heard the screeching of tires. I didn't pay attention to it as I was gonna be late if I didn't hurry.

A hand wraps around my mouth and I gasp, my bag dropping on the ground.

"Nice to meet you, Ava Mills." A deep voice says and my eyes start to drop as I inhale a gas.

Before I black out, I hear my body hitting the inside of a vehicle. And then, I'm out.

Daisy's POV

I lean against Ava's locker, checking the time. 8:10. She was gonna be late. Jacob walked up to me.

"Cmon. She'll be here. Lets just get to class before we get late." He tells me and I nod.

I just can't help but have a bad feeling in my stomach. Ava's never late to school. I go to my classes and they pass by slowly. I'm just worried. Ava's been stressed lately about this whole Chris situation.

She's been worried about me too. A lot of people have. Explicitly my parents. Ever since the rape incident, they've been walking on eggshells around me. I'm just glad my friends don't treat me differently. People expect me to be depressed and sad that something unfortunates like this happened to me but I'm just glad that man is in jail. So he can't hurt anyone anymore. I do feel sad and scared sometimes but I have people who love me surrounding me and I feel better. It's how I know I can get through it.
