Ava's POV

My heart beat was erratic as I paced around in the small room in panic. My nerves were all over the place and I couldn't think straight. Today was a special day and something was going wrong; I couldn't take it.

Jacob barged inside the room, placing his hands on my shoulders in an effort to calm me done. "Ava, call down! Everything's going to be okay!"

I shake my head. "But today's the day and the most important person isn't here!" I exclaim wanting to cry.

Jacob rolls his eyes. "You know Daisy, she's always running late to things."

I glare at him. "It's her wedding day you doofus! How's Raymond suppose to marry her if she isn't here!"

"She'll be here--"

Daisy bursts into the room, a nervous wreck. "I'M HERE!" She shouts.

I sigh in relief, dragging her over to the chair. "You moron! I thought you'd got cold feet and left poor Mr. Hawaiian Boyfriend alone at the altar," I tease her.

She glares at me. "Just make me fucking beautiful," Daisy grumbles.

I grin, ruffling her hair. "Oh honey, I will."

I was lucky that Daisy had showed up quickly because I had gotten her ready in a few hours and she looked beautiful. Like, if Raymond wasn't hopelessly in love with her, I'd marry her. But then Chris would never let that happen so no go with that plan.

"You ready Daisy?" Her guardian, Matilda, pops her head in. She was ready in her dress too.

Daisy nods. "I'm ready. But I'm so nervous," She says, her voice wavering.

I'm quick by her side. "Don't cry! It's going to be okay, Daisy. Plus, you'll ruin your makeup." I smile at her.

She wipes a few stray tears. "I'm okay. I'm ready."

"Good. Now go out there and blow Raymond's mind," I tell her, grinning like a mad man.

She chuckles. "That I will do."

"You got this right?" I ask Matilda and she nods.

"Yes I do. Go find your boyfriend." She winks at me.

I laugh, walking out the door. That I will do, Matilda. I find Chris hanging with Jacob and Dean, laughing about something. A smile immediately adorns my face upon seeing him. Chris and I had been dating for five years and even after we graduated college and got jobs, we grew stronger. I was ready to settle with him; get married, have kids. I wanted it with him.

I wrap my arms around his waist, placing my chin on his shoulder. "Hello boys." I grin at the three of them. "Having fun?"

Dean grins at me. "Yup. But if Jacob finally asked me to marry him then things would be better," He says, winking at his red boyfriend.

Chris and I laugh. "Patience, my friend," He says.

"Kids, it's starting! Let's go. In position!" My mom yells at us and I roll my eyes. Daisy was practically a daughter to my mom so she was pretty excited when she found out my best friend was getting married.

"C'mon you loons. Let's go." I grab Chris's hands and Dean grabs Jacobs, following us to the altar.

The two get in position and that's when we start walking down the aisle. I can see all our families in the rows of seats. And there Raymond is standing in his nice black suit, patiently and nervously waiting for his bride.

"You ready? It's almost our turn," Chris whispers in my ear.

I turn to look at him. "I'm ready."
