"I'm having a baby shower?" I repeated dazed.

"It was meant to be a surprise but it slipped out." Jordan admitted, rubbing the back of head looking guiltily at me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked accusingly.

"We all decided that we didn't want to give you any stress." Jordan said.

"We?" I asked.

"Well it was my idea, then I told our mums and they were ecstatic about it," Jordan said taking my hand as we walked into the car park.

The days passed in baby shower preparation and I found myself at the first couples classes.

"So, what is it that I'm supposed to be doing?" Jordan asked.

"I haven't got a clue." I said with a shrug of my shoulders.

We drove back to the hospital and followed the map. We walked in and the first thing I saw were around 20 odd mats in the room. There were a few couples around the back just talking. We walked in and placed our bags with the rest and the loud room fell to a quiet hush. I looked around and saw a few hospital workers in scrubs walk in.

"Welcome everyone!" The main guy said. I took Jordan's hand and guided him to a mat near the middle of the room.

"I am going to be your yoga trainer for the next 8 weeks. Now let's do some stretches. Only two per a mat.” the instructor told us.

The trainer showed us stretching exercises and we had to copy his movements.

"Next we can move on to the tree pose. Now, you boys are here to help keep your partners balance." the instructor said.

Everyone got up and attempted the position. I found the balancing a bit hard, but Jordan was helping me keep me upright.

After half an hour more of learning new exercises and breathing exercises, the class had finished.

We got home a while ago and had just eaten dinner.

"Come and sit with me, we can watch TV together." he finished, wrapping me in his arms on the sofa.

The next month flew by in a daze, with baby shower invitations to food and toys.

The day of my baby shower dawned upon us. I woke up early, feeling buzzed. I had loads of ideas and had called Vic around the night before to stay with me so she can help in the morning. I showered and put on this blue flowy dress that stopped just above the knee. I made my way downstairs to see Jordan making toast and Vic making some tea.

"Morning guys," I chirp.

"Hey beautiful," Jordan said smiling.

"Hey girl," Vic said passing me a cup.

"Thanks," I smiled at her.

"Now Jordan can go, so we can have the baby shower in peace." Vic said.

"What? I was the one who thought of the idea!" Jordan exclaimed.

"Yes, well have you ever been to a baby shower?" Vic asked Jordan.

Jordan remained silent, so then Vic took the opportunity to then speak to me.

"Oli, have you ever seen a man at a baby shower?" she asked me. I just smiled sheepishly and Jordan groaned.

"So I won't see you for the whole day?" Jordan asked caressing my face.

"I'm sorry, it's not my choice." I whispered against his lips.

"Guys, come on, give me a break!" Vic complained.
