-Blue's P.O.V-
Blue sent JJ one last small smile before heading into his house. "Mum? I'm home," He called out into the empty hallway.
"Kitchen!" His mother's soft voice bellowed through the house. He dropped his school bag by the door before kicking his converse off and heading to his mother.
He walked in on her with a glass of wine in her hand and about three piles of paper work stacked sky high on the dinner table. Blue grimaced. His mother over works herself. Ever since his father left last year she's had to work her ass off for him and his little sister.
Blue tutted at his mother and took the glass of wine out of her hand. "Blue, give it back i'm a grown woman I can-" He cut her off her sentence by putting his hand in her face.
"You have to sort through your work," He said pointing to the mountain range of paper work. His mother sighed and nodded her head, giving into her son. She stood with her back to Blue as she stared at the work. Blue took this opportunity to take a quick gulp of the wine before tipping the rest down the sink.
His mother sat down and put her head in her hands. The poor woman is literally buried in paper work and folders. Blue gave her a sympathetic look before walking over to her and standing by her side. "Look, mum, I'll go sort out Jessie and I'll cook dinner, just please get this work done, I'll help you with it later too, if need be," Blue compromised with his mum before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you, baby, you're a huge help," She smiled warmly at him before picking up her red pen and grabbing a random sheet of paper from one of the piles.
Blue headed up stairs to see his sister. He entered her room and saw her sat on her pink carpet with a barbie in one hand and stuffed penguin in the other. Jessie's room was filled with dolls and teddies. They're her favourite things, along with the colour pink. He can remember when she was only four years old and had demanded their father to 'turn her walls pink'.
He smiled at the memory before crouching down next to her. "Good thing you've got this carpet, I was sat on a hard swing earlier and it made my arse hurt like hell," Jessie started up and Blue with a blank expression. Blue shrugged.
"Boo, I want a swing," She said, Looking up at him with her massive brown eyes. She gets those from Dad he thought as he stared at his sister.
Blue stroked her short brown curly afro hair before sighing. "And I want me a sexy guy, looks like we're both gonna be disappointed," Blue said jokingly. Even though she's only five and most likely doesn't understand much he still talks to her as if she's one of his school friends.
Jessie picked up a brunette doll with a blue dress on and handed it to Blue. "She reminds me of you, I called her Boo," He laughed lightly and took the doll from her small hands. He loved how she doesn't know how to pronounce his name yet, he would never let anyone else call him 'Boo' though.
"Why thank you Jessie," Blue laughed before ruffling his sisters curls. He frowned as he remembered he'd have to make dinner. Blue couldn't cook, he'd never been able to cook. He could only just about make a basic ham sandwich.
Despite the 84 percent chance of giving everyone in the house food poisoning, he'd give it a shot for his mothers sake. "We have to go down stairs now, come on," Blue stood up and grabbed Jessie's hand before leading her down stairs.

After several attempts Blue gave up on making the pizzas. He decided it'd be easier just to call for a takeaway. He held onto his Hawaiian pizza whilst Jessie munched on a kiddie sized margarita. His mother was still working in the kitchen but Blue got her a pizza and told her that she has to eat it.
"Boo, can you change it? it's boring," Jessie asked with a disgusted look on her face. Blue frowned thinking about how his own blood doesn't like Teen Wolf. leaving his addiction to the show aside, he changed it anyway.
The noise of Mr Maker was too much for Blue to handle. "annoying little man," he mumbled to himself as his eyes unwillingly looked at the screen. His sister let out a little giggle at something Mr Maker said.
He didn't quite understand her infatuation with Mr Maker but he didn't say anything because her eyes would light up with happiness when ever he was on the screen. He stood up from the cushiony sofa and walked back into the kitchen where his mother is sat. She seems to have gotten through a heap of work. "Mum, have you heard anything from dad yet?" He didn't know why he always felt the need to ask when he knew the answer will always be the same. He likes to hold on to the tiny bit of hope that he might come back, it keeps him sane.
She sighed and put down her pen. She looked at him in the eyes. "Blue, he's not coming back," He tried to block out the truth with as much denial as possible. "He might, we don't know that for sure!" Blue said with a slight ache of pain in his voice.
She rested her hand on his face to cup his cheek. "Baby, you're almost seventeen, it's been over a year since he walked out, it's time to face facts," She was right, she always is but Blue couldn't handle it.
He shook his head and smiled. "Don't worry mum, he's coming back, I know he will," He tried to convince himself but part of him was beginning to doubt it. Blue knew that his father would be coming back. He couldn't leave them for real, he loves them too much. He loves him too much.
She didn't say anything else. She continued her work. "Here, I'll help," He said and grabbed a piece of paper. He's helped her with this before. It's not hard although it is tiring.
