-Blue's P.O.V-
The night sky was crowded with stars. Blue looked up at them as he thought about everything. Blue had this habit of worrying and over thinking and it caused him to have lack of sleep. He wasn't sure exactly what anxious thoughts were over populating his mind, it was just everything, from his father to his weird love-hate relationship with JJ to silly things like his bloody hair fading it's unnatural colour.
He sighed. Doesn't seem like he's gonna be able to sleep tonight. He pushed the blanket off of his body and gently removed himself from JJ's grasp. He was quite content with cuddling with JJ, he was warm, it was comforting.
Blue slowly climbed out of the hammock. His bare feed landing on the icy cold grass. Blue shuddered. Bloody hell it's cold.
There were plenty of times when Blue would have to get up in the middle of night and sit downstairs to distract himself from all the buzzing thoughts his mind would muster. Usually he'd turn on the TV and watch a documentary on discovery channel or something but there probably isn't a television within a ninety mile radius of this place, so that option is scratched.
He shook his head and hugged himself to keep warm. Blue's more of a summer kinda guy, he hates the cold, always has. One winter he went on a family ski trip and he had the worst time. Nothing worse than having melted snow in the wellies. He'd also learnt that snow angels weren't as glamorous as they made it out to be in the movies, he got soaked.
He wasn't sure where he was going but he carried on walking nonetheless. Most people would be petrified to be walking around in a cold forest in the middle of the night, but Blue didn't mind. He liked to think of himself as a daredevil but he knows deep down that that's simply not the case. He just doesn't believe in ghosts or slenderman and all that jazz (he's read too many none-fiction books.)
Something came into Blue's vision. A target. He remembered he'd been here earlier, causing a scene when he failed miserably at archery. It's not like he would've been good, Blue's not good at any sport and that's inevitable.
He sighed and picked up a bow and arrow that was left on the floor from the earlier activity. He figured he might as well practise, seeing as he's got nothing better to do for the next seven hours.
He held the bow firmly in his right hand and placed his index finger above the arrow, middle finger and ring finger below. He kept his little finger and thumb away from them and did not touch the string with them. After following all the steps that Angelo had taught he aimed the arrow at the target In front of him. Blue pulled the string back and let the arrow go.
It landed on the floor.
"Oh, shitting hell!" Blue cursed to himself as he threw the bow on the floor. Frustration bubbled through his body. "I'm fucking useless," he held his hands to his head and internally screamed. His lack of patience comes from his father. He'd remember his dad throwing the remote control on the floor and smashing it to pieces when it didn't work. He could've just changed the batteries but nooo.
Blue sighed and shook his head. He will be nothing like his father. His jaw clenched as he picked up the bow and arrow again. Just as he was getting into position he felt something tickle his neck.
He froze in shock until he realised what it was. "Need help?" JJ's voice was low and husky in his ear. Blue shuddered inside. JJ's breath brushed Blue's neck even more as he got closer.
His hands wrapped around Blue's as he helped Blue get into the right position. "Hold it higher to aim," JJ whispered whilst he guided Blue's arms up slightly.
Blue was forcing himself to focus on the target in front of him but the boy behind him was distracting. Blue blushed as he felt JJ's 'private place' rub against his own backside. "Pull back," JJ said, his face still only inches away from Blue's. It's a damn good thing that JJ can't see Blue's face right now because his inevitable blush would most likely glow in the dark.
"Make sure the string touches your nose," JJ told him as he pulled Blue's hand back with the arrow. A moment passed before JJ removed both his own and Blue's hand from the arrow and bow string.
The arrow flew in what felt like slow motion. Blue watched wide eyed as it darted through the air. Half a second later the arrow landed perfectly on the outside of the target. Not a perfect shot but at least it hit the target! "Oh my god," Blue felt a smile tug at the corners of his lips.
JJ grinned. "You're not useless, Blue, you're just lazy," JJ said as he turned Blue to face him.
Blue shrugged. "That's true," he laughed despite himself. "But thank you," Blue spoke sincerely to the tall dark haired boy opposite him. Blue pushed down any trace of embarrassment as he pushed himself up on his tip toes and planted a gentle kiss on JJ's freckled check. He'd be lying if he said doing that didn't make him feel like he was floating on a cloud or some cheesy rubbish like that.
JJ stared at him. Blue wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do but he didn't regret it. Plus it was only a kiss on the check if JJ didn't want that he could just play it off as platonic. Blue was about to tell him that it was only a friendly thanks but JJ's expressionless face broke out into a large grin.

This was just a small filler chapter because it would have made the last chapter too long 😁
