A week went by. Josh didn't let Zoey out of his sight. Tyler and Jenna came back to help. Zoey was doing better. Her and Josh had a sit down talk. They talked for hours. Josh and Lily locked away anything harmful. Josh wasn't gonna let it happen again. It was too close that he almost lost her.
Zoey vented everything to Josh. She needed a clean slate. She explained how she didn't like therapist so they agreed to talk and vent to each other once a week. She had his number on speed dial if she felt like that again. Josh was getting her out more and said he'd help get her a job.
To Josh:
"How's the journal?" He asked her. "Good. Helps me release more. Its more help than I thought." Zoey smiled. "Great." He smiled. Josh wanted to talk about how she felt and what was gonna happen with them. Especially after he told he loved her and kissed her. Josh knew now wasn't the time though. Josh moved the hair out of her face. "So you're doing ok?" He asked. Zoey hugged him tight. "Yes." She wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm so glad." He held her. "I'm so sorry you saw me like that." She looked at him. "Its alright. The point is it won't happen again. Everyone struggles Zoe. Everyone has their own blurryface. Even me." Josh smiled. "Well I'm here if you ever need anything too." She smiled. "That means a lot Zoey." He held her hand. "Always." She winked.Zoey wasn't ok the past week. But she was now. Because of Josh. Because of him, she's alive. Zoey remembered it all. What bothered her the most wasn't her caving into the voices. It was seeing Josh cry. The look of fear in his eyes. She remembered more.
"I love you Zoey Dawson."
Did he really mean it? She smiled at the thought that he really did. He hasn't left her side all week. Zoey couldn't explain how thankful she was for having Joshua William Dun in her life.
Zoey looked over at Josh who was already staring. He looked away quickly to make it seem like he wasn't. Zoey giggled and looked at his sleeve tattoo. She grabbed his arm and pulled him over to her. Josh was confused but went with it.
She looked it up and down. She thought it was beautiful and she wondered what it meant. Zoey traced his tattoo over and over. Josh smiled as she did it. "Did it hurt?" She asked still tracing. "Nah, not really." He watched her. "Mm" she looked at it. "Would you come with me for mine?" She looked up at Josh. "You wanna get a tattoo?" He asked. "Yeah. A special one." She smiled. "Sure." He smiled back. "Its your first right?" Josh asked. "Yeah. I wanna get it on my wrist." She explained. Josh gently grabbed her wrist and rubbed his thumb over it. "It shouldn't hurt that bad. What do you want?" He smiled looking back up at her. "Stay Alive." She stared at her wrist. "I think that's beautiful." He smiled more. "You think?" Zoey looked at his hand. "Yeah." "Won't be as cool as your sleeve." She laughed. "What! No, yours is gonna be sick." He laughed and smiled at her. Zoey played with Josh's hand as she laid her head on his shoulder. Josh put his head on hers and watched her.
Jenna knocked and walked in. "Hey guys!" She waved. This time Zoey didn't pull away from Josh. "Wanna come out with us?" Jenna asked. "Where?" Josh asked. "Bowling." She smiled. "Yes." Zoey responded. "Ok cool! I'll go tell Ty." Jenna smiled and left. "Are you sure?" Josh asked Zoey. "Yeah. I wanna get out. I'm ready." She smiled. "Alright." He grinned.
Tyler got into the drivers seat. Zoey sat in the back. Josh was gonna sit with her until she grabbed Jenna into the back with her. He sat up front instead curious. Jenna was fine with this. Zoey wanted Josh to sit with her but figured she needs to give him some space, plus she hasn't talked to Jenna enough lately.
"Have you ever went bowling?" Jenna asked her. "Nope." Zoey laughed. Tyler and Josh were talking about some band stuff. Josh was distracted enough.
