It was the next day. Today, Josh and Zoey would go to the doctor. Zoey laid on the bed staring at the ceiling. "Hey Zo-" Tyler stopped at the doorway and looked at her. She looked frozen or dead. "Z-Zoey?" He furrowed his brow. She blinked and he sighed in relief. "Your appointment is soon. We'll be leaving 35 minutes before hand." He told her. She was silent. Zoey seemed to be in a frozen state of mind. In a trace. Tyler walked closer. "You wanna talk about it?" He sat on the bed.

Zoey finally moved and looked down at him then back at ceiling. "Everything is spinning. It won't stop." She said quietly, her voice dry. "What? The spinning?" He asked. "The voices." She whispered. Tyler furrowed his brow. "What're they saying now Zoe?" He held her hand. Josh walked past the room and stopped seeing Tyler. He tensed up until he heard what they were talking about. Josh furrowed his brow and stayed hidden against the wall listening.

"Stupid. You can't do it. You'll kill it. You'll lose it. Like Zeke. Everything I love dies. It'll hate me.-" "Do you believe any of those things?" He asked. "I don't want too." She furrowed her brow at the ceiling. "I can't breathe." Zoey's breath sounding heavy. "Sit up." Tyler pulled her arms and back sitting her up. Zoey started gasping for air. She looked like she was suffocating. Tyler got on the bed more. "Zoe. Stop." He held her face looking in her eyes. "Breathe." He inhaled. "Do it. Even if you don't wanna. Breathe." He demanded. Zoey breathed in staggered. "Hold it for four seconds." He counted. "Now let it out for four." Tyler moved her hair away. Zoey breathed out. "Lay back." She listened and did so. "Focus on the sticker on the ceiling." He pointed. "H-how did you get it up there?" She breathed. "Don't ask." He snickered.

"Listen to me. Did you think those things?" Tyler asked. "Yes." She said. "Are you sure? Or did blurry?" He said. "Yeah." She got quiet. "What did we talk about?" "They lie." She nodded. "Good. Zoe, I know it's hard. I know it's hard to not listen but, it's not true. Okay? You got this. Now get up. I know you don't feel like it but you need to push the weight off your chest." Tyler stood up. "Easier-" "Said then done. Trust me. I know. Just breathe." Tyler reached his hand out. Zoey took it and he helped her up. "You are a fighter. Do you hear me?" Tyler held her hand firmly. She nodded. "I need to hear you say it." He said. "I'm a fighter." She nodded. "You are. You and me? We're getting through. We're making it. One step at a time. I won't let them get you." Tyler hugged her.

Josh appreciated Tyler talking to her. They had a special connection. It wasn't romantic or anything like that. No, it was something different. Something he didn't have completely with Tyler. They understood each other. Their darkness. The shadows and the voices. That pain. The deep pit. Tyler understood it better than Josh could. He'd never fallen as deep. Josh understood why she was afraid to tell him these things. He knew she didn't wanna bring him down. It wouldn't but, he knew Tyler was best to talk too when she was in deep. They've both been to hell and back. Tyler had a way with his words and his tone. It just motivated her. She knew he could do it so could she. Josh was thankful for Tyler in more ways than he'll ever know.

"Better?" Tyler looked her in the eye. She nodded. "I know you're lying." He smirked. "However, I know what you need." Tyler patted her shoulder as she looked confused. "Josh, you can come out now." He said. Josh walked in with a worried expression. "Love her." Tyler said walking out. Josh knew what he meant. Talk to her. Reassure her. Let her know it's okay. She's loved. Josh immediately hugged her tightly. "Do you wanna wait?" Josh caressed her cheek. It was like he flipped a switch in her. Zoey felt at home quickly and smiled big. A genuine one. She hugged Josh tightly. He returned the hug. "I've got this." She smiled. "What do I wear though?" She asked.

Josh shut the bedroom door. "What do you mean?" He asked walking back. "I don't know what they're gonna do. Should I wear something wear they can get to my belly? I'm not sure." She pouted. "Something comfortable baby. Ask Jenna what they do." He sat on the bed. With that, Zoey ran out to Jenna.
