ACT 12

Lissandra watched as Katarina sped out of the parking lot in her motorcycle, leaving her to help herself off the ground. Leona had recently exited the school and found Lissandra standing up from the ground and she instantly ran to her, assisting her on standing up.

"What happened?" Leona asked worriedly, pulling Lissandra up and on two stable feet.

Lissandra chuckled, bending down and picking up her glasses, wiping it with the hem of her turtle neck. "Nothing."

"Nothing?" Leona inspected her face and softly gasped when she saw Lissandra's swollen left cheek.

"That Du Couteau can sure deliver a blow." She muttered.

"Katarina punched you?" Leona asked in disbelief. "I know she's a Du Couteau and all, but why would she do that?"

"I just confirmed something from her, and the punch and the answer she gave me was the confirmation I needed." Lissandra replied, unconsciously clutching her swollen cheek. "Although I would have preferred it if she had only given me the answer and had not included punch."

"Confirmation? About what? You're making no sense, Lissandra." Leona was confused, truthfully.

Lissandra turned to Leona. "For mine, Ashe's and Katarina's sake, do not tell anyone about this."

Leona was speechless for a moment. "Alright..." Lissandra was about to turn away when Leona abruptly continued.

"But I need an explanation about all of this."

Chuckling, Lissandra walked towards the driver's door, grabbing Ashe's bags and placing them on passenger seat as soon as she opened the door.

"Lissandra." Leona uttered, not wanting Lissandra to bail out from the situation.

"You'll get your explanation soon, Leona."

The next morning came and honestly, Katarina wasn't on the mood in going to school. She laid on her bed, wearing a set of casual clothes. It was raining and it completely matched her mood.

"Katarina!" Cassiopeia called out from outside her room. "It's lunch time."

Apparently, her siblings had the same idea and didn't go to school because of the rain, despite the fact that school wasn't even suspended.

"I'm not hungry! Leave me alone!" Katarina shouted back, not bothering on hiding the anger in her voice.

The anger from yesterday was still present inside her. Lissandra's words swam in her head.

Ashe? Broken?

Katarina could feel a few ounces of her anger directed to herself. She was angry for not knowing the reason why Lissandra had called Ashe broken. There has to be a reason why she had used such a term to refer to Ashe. She refused to believe that Lissandra had used that term just to mess with her.

Deep inside of her, she knew Lissandra had a reason why she used that specific word. She wanted to strangle the other woman, and she was actually surprised when she had managed to stop herself from doing so.

Katarina's thoughts were interrupted when she noticed her iPhone, which is currently near her pillow, light up. She reached for it and took the device into her clutches, viewing the words on the screen.

She received a message from an unknown number.

Unknown number: She's at Valoran Pier.
