The car ride to the party was uneventful and Katarina was thankful and at the same time disappointed at this. Well, at least she didn't rip off Ashe's dress and take her then and there on the smooth and comfy leather seats of the limo.

Ashe mostly informed her about the charity event, which distracted her from the lascivious thoughts that swirled in her mind. She ended up discovering that the charity event is for the orphanages around Runaterra. All the money that will be earned in the event will be donated around the orphanages in the end.

"What's with the auctions? Any items you might want me to buy for you?"

Ashe chuckled, flattered and feeling special with Katarina's words. "Thank you for the thought, but the auction is a surprise. I'm sorry, Kitty."

"Fine," Katarina conceded, not bothering on prying and doing her best to ignore the pet name she secretly loves. "Do you know who's hosting the event?"

"Zed Stygian, CEO of Stygian Company and Syndra Necromancer, the famous founder of Necromancy Fashions."

Well, that explains the invitation given to the Du Couteau household. Zed Stygian actually does business with the military, therefore associating him with their father, General Marcus Du Couteau.

"Are they together?"

"From what I remember, Zed and Syndra are currently living together at Zed's mansion, which is where the event will be taking place."

"Just living together?"

Ashe shook her head. "Caitlyn had chatted with Syndra a week ago, and Syndra had admitted that Zed and her have been a couple for quite some time now."

"Why a charity event for the orphanages?" Katarina asked curiously.

"Zed and Syndra are both orphans."

"Oh, well, the charity purpose now makes perfect sense." Katarina stated. "Are your friends attending?"

Ashe shrugged. "I'm not really sure. Caitlyn and Fiora, yes, but the others? I don't know."

"Will your father be there?"

"Yes."

"We have arrived, Miss Avarosa." The driver said, and Katarina suddenly felt the anxiety catch up to her. She's going to meet her girlfriend's father and she is nervous about how he'll react.

Ashe seemed to have noticed her nervousness and held one of her hands to calm her nerves, flashing a reassuring smile in addition.

"Don't worry much, Katarina."

She nodded. "Right, sorry."

When the chaffeur opened the door, Katarina stepped out first before she offered a hand for Ashe to take. Photographers from newspaper companies and magazines instantly flashed the moment Ashe came out and snapped them out of their surprise in seeing Katarina.

They briskly passed the photographers and finally got inside the mansion. Zed and Syndra greeted them.

"Welcome to our charity event!" Syndra greeted with a bright smile, giving Ashe a hug.

Zed nodded his head in greeting towards them, and he masked the surprise he felt when he saw her. She knew she rarely attends events such as this, mostly Cassiopeia and Talon attend these parties, not her.

"I can see now why you had not arrived with your siblings." Zed said to Katarina. "You have a lovely date with you."

"Yeah, she's mine, so lay off." Katarina bluntly stated, which made Zed dryly chuckle.
