ACT 21
"Katarina!?" Lux squeaked, looking panicked and frantic. "W-What're you doing here?"
"I sort of bought her here." Garen answered for the fuming Du Couteau.
"Why, oh why, did you choose today to bring her here?"
"I demanded him to bring me here." Katarina gritted out, glaring threateningly at the younger Crownguard.
"Why?" Caitlyn asked, eyes narrowing in curiosity.
"I want to know everything about Quinn Coulissen and whatever it is connecting her to Ashe!" She practically barked out.
"If you keep shouting at us, you won't be getting a single syllable out of our mouths."
Her green eyes sent thousands of daggers at Caitlyn, but the other female didn't seem to be fazed. She didn't even show a glimpse of a sign in backing down.
A frustrated sigh originated from the redhead, rubbing her temples with her fingers to soothe the headache forming in her head. Katarina closed her eyes and inhaled, exhaling deeply as she forced herself to calm her very own tensed body. With a rigid posture, she opened her eyes and unclenched her fists.
"I'm calm."
"We can see that."
Caitlyn's somewhat sarcastic answer made Katarina want to just shove her fist up the Reeve's ass, but with her biker and brute of a girlfriend, she knew, despite her knowledge of combat, Vi will snap her like a twig if she ever lays a finger on her.
"Just tell me about...-!"
"Yes, we know, you want to know whatever connects Quinn to Ashe." Ahri cut off with a wave of a hand, which slightly annoyed Katarina.
She clenched and unclenched her fists, not wanting to lose her cool. If she were to do so, she won't be making progress any time soon. She could see Leona looking at her and she hoped that the Solari would speak up before she starts shouting her ass off.
"Listen, Katarina,"
Oh, thank Noxus. The Solari got her mental hint.
"We can't tell you much. It's not our place to say."
"Why do all of you give me the same answers over and over again?" She muttered with an exasperated sigh.
"If you want to know whatever happened between them, you will have to ask Ashe yourself. But I advise you to wait for Ashe to open up this topic. It's a very sensitive matter for her, Katarina."
"Fine." Katarina spun around without second thought and was about to leave when Caitlyn spoke once again.
"Don't ever tell us we didn't warn you, because we literally just did."
Katarina looked over her shoulder and glared at Caitlyn again. "Thanks for the warning then."
After giving her sarcastic thanks, she walked out of the estate, shouldering Garen in the process of leaving the living room and slamming the door louder than needed. The females gathered in the room merely stared at the entryway of the living room while Garen scratched the back of his head.
"What do we do now?" Lux asked quietly, looking downright worried.
"Nothing."
All eyes turned to Fiora, who calmly sipped her tea.
"What? You must be joking, right?"
Fiora settled her cup of tea onto the coffee table before turning to Lux, a neutral expression on her face. "Like it or not, Ahri has a point. We do nothing."
