ACT 32

"Leona, where are you going?" Her father, Leonard Solari, asked, looking up from the newspaper he was reading a second ago.

"I'm going out, Father."

Her mother, Rayne Solari, sighed as she lowered her cup of tea on her lap. "A date with the Lunari, we assume."

Leona resisted the urge to sigh at her parents' assumption. "No, mother. Diana cancelled our date."

"Where are you going, then?" Leonard questioned.

"I'm merely going to go and see my friends. Caitlyn said she has something urgent to tell me."

"And she can't tell you whatever it is the matter by calling you through your phone?" Rayne asked her, gazing at with an inquiring look.

"It's urgent, Mother." It took almost all of her self-control from rudely grunting out her reply.

Both of her parents sighed in unison. Leonard waved a hand dismissively.

"Be back before six o'clock. Pantheon and his parents will be having dinner with us tonight."

She nodded slightly before she turned away and walked towards the door, muttering a low reply. "No promises, Father."

Leona left the main house and went to the garage, pulling out her car key and pushing the built-in unlock button. The blaze orange Lotus Elise honked two times, notifying her that the vehicle is now unlocked.

It only took a minute before she found herself driving out of the garage. With surprised and wide eyes, Leona stepped on the brakes before she entered the driveway with her sports car.

She found a silver Mercedes Benz parked in front of the driveway, fully blocking her path. The car, of course, was instantly identified by the Solari herself. While the Solari household uses Lotus vehicles, the Lunari family can usually be seen driving around in a Mercedes.

And there's only one Lunari Leona knows who has the nerve to park in front of the Solari mansion. The described Lunari exited the Mercedes, a bouquet of sunflowers in her hands.

Leona pulled the handbrake up, swiftly exiting her car afterwards. She met Diana halfway, who instantly stopped as soon as there was only half a meter left between them.

"Diana, what are you doing here?" She asked, confusion lacing her voice. "I thought you said you have some errands to do."

"I, umm," Diana looked away. "Sort of lied. Uh, here."

Leone watched as Diana walked closer and handed her the flowers, which she accepted in a heartbeat.

"Diana, what is...-!"

"Leona," Diana interrupted her. "When you read Ashe's letter... I hope I still have the future where you're with me and by my side."

"What?" Her facial expression twisted in confusion. "Diana, what are you talking about?"

Diana looked down for a moment before shaking her head.

"Just, just read it, alright? And, umm, you should probably know that..."

Diana took a deep breath.

"I... I like you. More than you think I do."

Leona looked at Diana with wide eyes, completely taken by surprise with the sudden confession. All the time she spent with Diana, she knew the Lunari is not the emotional and lovey-dovey type of girl.

Diana turned away and headed towards her car. Leona reached forward, but her fingertips just grazed strands of silver hair. Before she could even give chase, Diana was already inside her car and sped down the road without another word.
