Tris's POV
"I couldn't help but notice how flustered and smiley you were this morning." Christina looks up from her practice tattoo. "Especially after you had just told me about your fight with him even earlier this morning." She leans into the table, completely forgetting about our current assignment.
"What do you mean?" I continue working on the dauntless flames, not bothering to glance at her.
"Tris, I wasn't born last night." She sighs, "I just don't get how you two made up so quickly. I mean, me and Will, don't even get me started. It takes him at least a day before apologizing to me and vise versa." After a few seconds, I hear the buzzing of her needle start up again.
"Well, after talking with you, I got the chance to think things through. Chris, it was my fault. I was the one who lashed out on him. He was just worried about me and I just started yelling shit at him. Thanks again for being there." I begin ranting. I look up and see her smile at me before nodding.
"Anyways, besides the make up," she leans in closer, "did you make out?" She wiggles her eyebrows at me. I can practically feel my eyes bulging out of their sockets.
Choking on my words, I'm finally able to say, "Was it that noticeable?" Even I can hear how surprised I sound. She throws her head back, laughing. My cheeks burn in embarrassment.
"Hell yea! First of all, flustered! Your hair was just everywhere and even your shirt was all crinkled and pulled. And not to mention the amount of times Four cleared his throat. Which didn't even work out," she chuckles, "and I'm your best friend, sister you never had, so it's me duty to notice things like that." She looks at me proudly.
"Oh god, Christina," I laugh with her. She nudges me with her elbow.
"And not to mention the fact that you never made eye contact with any of us. I kept trying to tell you to fix your hair and shirt, but you were even looking at me!" We laugh even harder.
"Yea, well it was pretty intense up until you guys showed up-"
"How you ladies doing?" Tori walks up to us with a coffee cup in one hand and the other is tucked into her front pocket. She yawns before sipping on her coffee. She drags a chair over and sits between us. She yawns again.
"Looks like Christina has improved by a lot. Considering the flame looks like an actual flame," I tease Chris. She glares at me playfully.
"Good. Good," Tori yawns for the third time.
"Tori, what time did you go to bed?" Christina asks.
"I, uh, I don't remember." We both laugh at a yawning Tori.
"Go, go!" I get up, dragging Tori back to her apartment through the back door in the Tattoo parlor. "Get some rest. Take the day off. Me and Christina can handle one day, plus we're not alone, Buds here too. It's not that busy on Saturday mornings anyways." I finally get her through her bedroom door and fix her bed for her, making sure that she'll sleep peacefully. I take the coffee cup from her hand and place it on her nightstand.
"Tris, thank you so much. You know, Four's a very lucky guy. And same goes for you. Don't let him go." She winks at me and climbs into the sheets. I smile at Tori and watch as she slowly melts away into a good kind of darkness, a peaceful one.
Quietly, I turn off the lights and close her bedroom door, sighing in relief that she didn't stir. I make my way back to the parlor and take my seat. It looks like Christina is nearly finished with her tattoo and ready to move on to a harder one.
"Did she fall asleep?" Chris asks with out looking up.
"Yea. Out like a light." I see the corners of her mouth turn up in a small smile and I join her.
"Saturday's are on of the worst business days, by the way." She notifies me.
"Yea, well, I had to say something to make her leave." I laugh. I'm not too far behind Christina, who's already moved on to her next practice tattoo. I finish up the black flames of the tattoo and move onto drawing the roots of the amity tree.
After Tori had taught us the basics of tattooing, we began working on different shapes and lines. Then we'd moved onto the faction symbols. After we finish with the amity tree, we're done with the symbols and are practically ready to begin tattooing on costumers instead of fake skin.
About an hour later, Christina turns off her needle an exclaims, "Finally! Done!" I look over and see a completed tree enclosed in a circle. She calls Bud over and he checks her work. He gives her the okay to begin working with costumers. She smile so big that I can almost feel it myself.
A few minutes later, I finish and Bud gives me the okay to begin working too.

"Bye! See you Wednesday!" Me and Christina yell over our shoulders as we leave the Tattoo parlor. It's already past one and we are starving. We're supposed to meet up with the rest of the gang in the fear landscape room after getting our lunch.
This morning, we all agreed to take off work Monday, Tuesday, and only stay half a day today. Nobody works on Sundays, usually. Tobias told me that places like the infirmary and control room need to be running 24/7 so to do that, other people have Saturday off instead of Sunday. That way it all works out.
"I'll get the pizzas and you go get the drinks. It'll go by faster that way." I listen to Christina and walk off to get us two bottles of water. While I'm at it, I grab some napkins too. Once I find Christina again, she's already getting the food.
"Okay, let's go. They're probably waiting." I nod my head and follow her out of the cafeteria and to the fear landscape room.
We enter the room, nibbling on our pizzas already.
"Finally! I thought you guys bailed out on us or something." Zeke flings a muffin crumb he was about to eat our way. I glare at him and sit down next to Tobias, even though he's standing. I start taking bigger bites of my pizza, realizing that I'm actually starving. I find my self smiling, both my cheeks full of food.
"You fatty!" Uriah sits next to me, poking my stomach. I smack him really hard, making him groan in pain.
"Don't you know that you shouldn't touch a girl when she's eating?" I stuff the rest of the pizza into my mouth. "Especially when she's starving." He gapes at me, almost not believing that I just devoured a slice of pizza in less than five minutes.
"Yea, uh, Four a little help here bro?" He scoots away from me. I look up at Tobias. He's holding in his laughter. I can tell. I smirk at him.
"Uriah, stop. Did everyone get Monday and Tuesday off?" He scolds Uriah before quickly jumping into our meeting.
Everyone nods.
"Good." He clears his throat and begins. "We have our altered serum, thanks to Will and his helpers, and are pretty much ready to begin preparing for Tuesday. I know that that's a very small amount of time we have, but we cannot risk being too late for whatever Jeanine has planned." He clasps his hands together in front of himself. Then, he looks down at me, his hard expression becoming soft and gentle, as if it were only us two in the room. I smile, not knowing what else to do.
"Anything you guys want to add in before we start?" Zeke, I assume, starts setting up the computer with the new program that goes along with the altered serum.
He looks up at us momentarily, waiting before speaking up again. "Okay, let's get started."
A/N: sorry for the long wait. I've been busy helping someone move out, so yea.
