Tris's POV
"Ready?" I nod and Uriah murmurs 'yes'. Tobias, once again, takes a moment to stare at me before moving my hair to the side and injecting my neck with the now grey, altered serum. He then moves on to Uriah, who's eyes are already closed.
Once were both injected, Tobias looks at me and whispers loud enough for everyone to hear, "Be brave."
With that, I'm swept into the program.

Tobias's POV
"Be brave." I don't know if that was meant for Tris or to reassure me, but it came from my lips.
Tris and Uriah are soon pulled into the program and have already begun.
"Four, I assume that you want to monitor Tris's vitals and all that, so come here. Shauna can't do both by herself," I turn around. Zeke and I watch as Shauna scrambles between Tris's and Uriah's progress.
"Sorry, I'm coming."
"Oh and here," he hands me a small, oddly shaped object. I stare at it, and then back at him. I raise an eyebrow. "It goes in your ear." He gives one to Shauna, too.
I turn the beige, cashew shaped object in my hand a few times before figuring out how to place it in my ear. I look up at Shauna. She's still trying to get it to fit.
Once she does, Zeke says, "There should be a button on the outside of it. Don't press it, yet." I reach up to touch the ear piece, instantly finding the little button.
"Dammit! I put it in backwards," Shauna fumbles to put it in right.
"Okay, now, you should be able to communicate with them. The ear pieces are connected to the sim, so they'll hear you and you'll be able to hear them." We nod in response. Zeke presses a few more buttons and turns the large computer to face us.
The screen is split in half. The right side displays a dark screen while the left side is fairly bright.
"Tris's sim is on the right and Uriah's is on the left. Four's ear piece is only connected to Tris's sim and Shauna, yours is connected to Uriah's." Zeke says. I look closer at the screen. The whole screen is pixelized and the images aren't too clear. I squint my eyes trying to figure out what is being shown.
"Zeke, I can't hear anything or barely even make out where Tris is," He holds up a finger and begins typing again.
"I know that. Just give me a second." With a few more clicks, the screen becomes clearer and the images resolution improves. Now I can see that Tris is in the training room, the lights dimmed. Uriah, on the other hand, is outside on top of a balcony of a high-up building. They both stand motionless. They're looking straight, at nothing in particular. They're faces hold no emotion whatsoever.
"Why aren't they moving?" Shauna asks.
"Because, technically speaking, I'm in control of they're sims right now. Unless I press this button," he points to a key on the keyboard, "they'll stand their forever, doing absolutely nothing."
"Okay, well start the damn thing already! We really don't have all day here, you know. Unless you're trying to get us caught." Lynn walks over to the door, making sure no ones around.
