Opening their eyes; Lucy, Edmund and Andrew looked about them as they remained on their backs. "How have we?" Andrew started as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "Oh Edmund. Do you think we've got back into Narnia?" Lucy said, also sitting up. The clearing was in the middle of a wood. The air was thick with the smells of flowers and fresh water. "Yes. You are in Narnia. Welcome back." A voice spoke. The three turned their heads slowly towards the direction of the voice and saw, "Caspian." Edmund breathed. Caspian stood up from where he was and walked over to the three. His long, dark hair was tucked neatly behind his ears and he was wearing his riding gear. "Caspian!" Lucy squealed. He smiled down at her and helped her and her companions to their feet. He explained how he was out walking when he stumbled across them. "So who's this?" Caspian chuckled towards Andrew who was stood beside Lucy. Andrew introduced himself and shook hands with Caspian. "So you're a friend of King Edmund?" Caspian said softly. Andrew furrowed his eyebrows. King Edmund, well that's absurd! Andrew thought. Edmund's eyes widened. He hadn't elaborated to Andrew about being King of Narnia. "Queen Lucy, looking beautiful as ever." Caspian complimented. Lucy blushed and thanked him. "Your highness, is all okay- oh." a voice hollered out from the thick woods. The four turned towards the sound and saw a very fat and wise looking old man. He wore sky blue satin robes with white rope tied around the middle. Edmund recognised him as Professor Cornelius from his previous trips to Narnia. "Yes Professor. I give you King Edmund and Queen Lucy. As well as their good friend, Andrew." Caspian replied as he walked towards the elderly gentleman. "Another son of Adam?! Beards and bedsteads!" The Professor commented. Lucy giggled as she remembered a good friend of hers once said the very same thing.
After getting their bearings, Caspian led the three towards his castle and told Lucy and Edmund about peace in the Lone Islands. Andrew was just as confused as Caspian had been when he saw the three in the clearing. Once inside the castle, Caspian showed them to their rooms. "Lucy, yours is on the left. Opposite mine. You two are the other side of the hall." Caspian rambled as Lucy walked around the corridors. "Lucy, do you see what I see?" Edmund said as he stopped her. Lucy looked where Edmund was pointing. There, in full view, were familiar looking swords, shields, daggers, bows and arrows. Walking towards them, Lucy smiled as she remembered receiving them from Father Christmas when she and her siblings had first come to Narnia. She looked at Peter's sword hilt and gently touched it. She saw the inscription and read; "Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight, At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more, When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death, And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again."
She felt tears prick at her eyes and sniffed. She wasn't so fond of crying now but memories would always bring her out in tears. Caspian came up behind her and rested his chin on her shoulder. She relaxed and whispered, "Why am I here Caspian?" Caspian laughed a short laugh and whispered back that he didn't know as he never blew Susan's horn. He lifted his chin and then told Lucy that he was going to get the cooks to prepare a feast for them. Lucy remained quiet and in her position. Caspian sighed a heavy sigh and walked out of the room. After what seemed like a lifetime, Lucy left the room and pulled on her bravest smile. Although happy to be back and to see Caspian. Something didn't feel right. Not at all.
