After lunch, we all had P.E. Giada, Paula, and I all headed down to the gym.
"I'm just gonna warn you now, Ina. The teacher is really harsh." Giada said after we all got into our P.E uniforms.
"Well, that was expected. P.E teachers are always mean." I answered
Giada nodded and we waiting for the teacher to arrive.
"Alright class. Get in a line and don't ask questions." A loud voice said from the front of the gym.
We all got in a line, some students looking terrified.
"My name is Mr. Irvine, I will be your teacher. And let me tell you right now, I don't take nonsense." Mr. Irvine said sternly. "Today we will be playing dodgeball. There will be two teams."
Mr. Irvine stops and takes out a piece of paper.
"The teams are: Ina Garten, Paula Deen, Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay, and Nancy Fuller. The second team is Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, Ted Allen, Sandra Lee, and Cat Cora. HURRY UP AND GET IN YOUR GROUPS!"
Everyone quickly got into their teams. I was happy to have my two friends on my team.
"We're gonna win this, right?" I asked.
"Nope. Guy is on the other team, so unless we want to be tormented we can't win." Paula answered.
"What? That's not very fair, if you ask me." I said.
"Hey, new girl. How about you deal with it. We've had to learn the hard way not to mess with Guy, and I sure hope Giada and Paula explained who Guy thinks he is." Nancy growled.
"Lay off, Nancy." Paula growled back at Nancy.
"Yeah, let's just be nice. We're on a team, and all." Giada said, smiling awkwardly.
"Giada you should know that's not how this school works. You either cook or be cooked." Bobby said.
Mr. Irvine blew the whistle, getting everyone's attention.
"We don't have rules here, any hit counts. Even if someone gets sent to the nurse's office." Mr. Irvine explained.
All of us started throwing at the other team, none of us actually trying. But, I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life. Guy had just thrown a ball, hitting Paula right in the face. She was obviously hurt, but Mr. Irvine just made her sit at the side. I was enraged. I picked up the nearest ball, and threw it with all my might at Guy, hitting him in the head and ruining his hair.
"Ina!" Giada exclaimed.
Guy looked furious. He stormed off to the side of the gym. Alton and Ted nodded at each other and started aiming all their throws at me, eventually getting me out. Once everyone on my team was out, Mr. Irvine declared Guy's team the winners. Paula and Giada came up to me after class.
"Ina! You do know what's going to happen, right?" Giada asked worriedly.
"You idiot! Why would you purposely throw a ball at Guy! He'll kill you, are you fuckin' dumb?!" Paula shouted.
"I'm sorry. He hit you with one, and you looked hurt so I was mad." I said sadly.
"Idiot! I wasn't hurt! I was pretendin'!" Paula yelled.
"Paula, please calm down. Ina was only trying to defend her friend." Giada said.
As we were talking, Bobby came up to us.
"Good luck, Ina. You ruined Guy's hair, now you're gonna be hated around the school. Plus, everyone on that team might take a hit for your mistake." He said and walked away.
"What have I done?" I sighed.
