Damn Near Official

DAN'S POV:

Addie, Addie, Addie. What would I do without my partner in crime? My best friend.

I'm so glad I took that flight- without it, I wouldn't have met the girl that I have strong feelings for. 

I don't love her... I mean- I've known her for two weeks, but I can promise you that I'll reach there sometime, and sometime soon. 

Her wavy blonde hair flows just the right way- and her blue orbs can light up a whole room, with just one glance. 

Snap the fuck out of it. She would never feel the same... She's probably dating a tall, muscular, tan kid. I'm just Dan. Boring old Dan. That kid with all the secrets that I will never tell. The baggage I carry is too much to handle... She wouldn't give a shit. I know what she did today. She stayed far away as possible from me, I know she heard everything that Taven and I talked about yesterday. This is all bullshit. Addie's bullshit. I'm bullshit. Life is bullshit. Bullshit.

She would be better off without me- really let her get a fresh start. Deal with her own life. She wouldn't need me anyways. I'm sure she's just being nice to me... Just because she wouldn't want to break a helpless kid's heart. 

Fuck it. Fuck her. I'm over it. 

Bye Adara, enjoy your fresh start, enjoy your new life- you don't need me in it.

ADDIE'S POV:

Does Dan really mean what he said? He couldn't have. It can't be true. Fall for me? Shit... I have a face that only a mother can love! I wonder if Taven and Dan are still arguing, doubt it though. Who would ruin a friendship over me? Just forget about it, Addie. If he really wants you- I'm sure as hell he won't leave you.

************** 8 Days Later ***************

I haven't talked to him ever since we went to the movies together. Looks like someone doesn't give a shit anymore. I was right. I knew he would stop, just give up on me. I've been through it before. At least Sadie got over her grudge that she's been holding against me for three weeks... It's amazing! We actually spent some QT time together, (which was shopping)... If that's qualified as quality time. I bought my room crap, so now I can say I actually have a place to live... I guess.

The one thing that never happened is... Well I never met that Jacob kid. I know he looks familiar, but I really just don't know where I've seen him before. Probably just from a Facebook post... I keep reminding myself... But I just can't get him off my mother fucking mind.

I should meet him soon, because it's getting on my nerves, like you have no idea.

Anyways, Sadie said she's going to go talk to Taven today. Turns out that Sadie and Taven are pretty good friends. They met a few years back- and the rest is history. This world is pretty freakin' small... for real.

SADIE'S POV:

I knock on Taven's apartment door, and just as quickly- he opens it.

"Hey... What's up?" He asks, his eyes totally bloodshot.

"I need your help."

"With?"

"Dan."

"Oh God, what about the kid?"

"My roomate, Addie."

"No way! You know Addie? Bullshit!"

"I've known her since 8th grade, don't act suprised hotshot."

"Dan digs her, but they haven't talked in forever. I'm starting to think something happened between them..."

"Here's the thing. Addie likes him."

"Dan likes her too."

"According to her, he doesn't give a fuck about her anymore." 

"He's been gone,  for a long time. I wouldn't say "gone" because I've been texting him... I think he said he's with this girl, Kaitlyn if I'm correct?" 

"Oh. Has he said anything about her?"

"He's got the hots for her... That's about it. He said she was in quote, "wild."

"He's a man whore! Haha, just kidding... But what the hell am I supposed to tell Addie?"

"Give them some time apart- it's not worth the effort at this point. I'll see more about it later."

"Call me when you get ahold of him!" I smile, as he shuts the door, leaving me walking down the corridor, headed back to my apartment... Where Addie waits- impatiently.

ADDIE'S POV:

"What did he say? Was Dan there?" I ask Sadie as soon as she barges through the door.

"That bastard. He's with this bitch, Kaitlyn. Fuck him Addie, it's not worth the effort."

"Oh..." I mumble.

It's damn near offiical.. my heart is broken.
