Zadia walked down the street to Selina's house. When she got there, she silently slipped through the door, and went upstairs to Selina's room. There was no sense in sitting and watching TV, she should sleep so she won't be tired in the morning. It was, after all, going to be a long trip. She laid down on the bed and fell fast asleep.
She woke up at 8 o'clock and got dressed. Once she ate a little, she headed for the bus. She would have to hide a bit, in case one of the neighbors saw her and tattled to her parents. She walked for another 20 minutes before she got to the first stop. The bus got there at 9 o'clock. Right on time, she thought and she got on bored. She payed the driver and found a seat near the back. Just as she sat down, she heard her phone buzz. She had a text. Probably from Mom, she thought. She was right, her mom had asked where she was and told her to come back right away. Zadia responded with, “I'm alright mom. Don't worry about me. I'm not coming home until I find out about my past. Besides its too late to turn back now.” That her mom did not like at all. She said, “ I don't care where you are or what you want to do! I want you back here right now!” All Zadia said was “Sorry, see you in 3 days.” and then she turned her phone off. She felt bad enough about leaving, but she wanted to know! Why couldn't her mom understand that? Her trip was only beginning and she didn't need to worry about more than she already was. Sometime during all her thinking, she dozed off and didn't wake up until her next stop.
She got off at Jackson st. and waited for the next bus. Zadia was on that bus for about 1 hour. The next bus got there around 10:30. This time when she tried to pay the driver, he asked her where she was going. “Gypsum” she said. “Aren't you a little young to be traveling to Gypsum by your self?” he asked. “Maybe.” she said and walked to the back of the bus and sat down. She listened to he I pod, and read a little too. The rest of the time she spent by looking out the window. Everything was so pretty! She always loved nature. She believed that nature was all she needed to survive. She never ate anything boxed, who wants to eat something from a factory, when they can have a nice yummy pear? “God gave us all we need” she told her parents. They never forced her to eat that stuff , but they still ate it.
When she got into Gypsum, she had one more bus to ride to get to her hotel. Luckily, the hotel wasn't that far away. Zadia was very tired from being stuck in a bus all day and wanted to stretch her legs. She checked into her room and went up to unpack. The room wasn't all that big, but it would do. Once she was done, she searched her name on the computer again to see if it gave anymore specific places to look. When she used the same website she found the word Gypsum on it said to get on Highway 24 and exit to Travelers Trail. Then go onto transfers trail. Follow this road out to the end. This is getting creepy, thought Zadia. It was almost like the computer was talking to just her. Well, after a good nights sleep, I guess that's where I'll be headed, she thought.
Before she went to sleep, she check her phone for messages from her parents. The last one her mom sent her said, “ If you come home we will tell you what we know.” Well, that would have been useful before I decided to leave, thought Zadia. She responded with, “ I got to my destination. I am nowhere near you, so I can't come back. And there is more I want to know than what you know. You said yourself you don't know where I came from. So what you have to say might have been useful to help me get here, but now it is not enough. Zadia
