Zadia decided she wasn’t going to answer anymore messages from her parents. She didn't want them to know where she was at and that was the best way to do that. She thought about what she read on the computer. Highway 24, Travelers trail, go to the end of transfer trail. Where would that take her? What would she do when she got there? It was too much to think about. She should just sleep.
Zadia rolled out of bed check the computer again. Nothing new this time. She must have to complete what the computer says before she can see what to do next. Wait, she thought. How am I going to get there? There are hardly any buses in Gypsum, and I can't drive! The trip seems all to far to walk, too. I thought this trip was fool-proof, it never occurred to me that I would need transportation to get around! I should've thought about that. Well I guess I'm going to have to pay extra to get the bus drivers to take me there, she thought.
When she found a bus that would take her there, she had to spend 15 extra dollars to get there. There goes my food money, she thought. It took a little over an hour to get to the end of Transfer trail. “ This is really where you want off?” the driver asked. “Yes, it is.” she said.
“And how do you plan on getting back?”
“I was hoping you could take me.”
“Alright kid, I'll be here to pick you up in 1 and a ½ hours”
“Okay, thank you very much!”
As she headed down the trail, she felt like someone was watching her. A chill ran up her spine. Once she got to the very end of the trail, a figure stepped out from the trees. “Hello, Zadia,” the figure said. Zadia was at loss for words. See never saw this person before, but strangely, she recognized him. He was tall, and had green hair. His eyes were a deep brown, just like hers. They sparkled when he saw her.
“My name is Shar.” he said.
“Shar?”
“Yes, now come with me.”
“ Why should I?”
“ Did you not want to learn your past?”
“ No I do, but how can I trust you?”
“ You know me. Think hard.”
“ I'm sorry, I still don't.”
Zadia decided she liked him and she followed him into the forest. They followed a long twisty path, and stopped before a huge Pine tree. Zadia could wrap her whole body around the tree, and she still wouldn't cover the width. This particular tree was also the tallest tree, it had to have been over 75 ft tall. Shar walked up to it and a bunch of other people came out over the forest. They all stood in a line and joined hands. An orange glow covered them, and spread over the tree like an ocean. Suddenly, a gold door appeared and Shar lead her though it.
“Where are we going?” she asked.
“To learn about your past.” Shar said.
