When her parents got home from work, they were overjoyed to discover that Zadia was back and uninjured. “Where were you?” her mom asked. Zadia did not know what to say to that. Luckily, her dad interrupted. “Cara, that doesn't matter! All that matters is she is safe and home!” “Oh yes! Dear you must be starving! Come I’ll get you some supper.”Her mom ushered her into the kitchen and started making her a salad.

After Zadia finished her salad, her mom sent her up to her room. She said that Zadia needed her rest after her trip. Finally, Zadia thought, some time to think without my parents interrupting! Zadia loved her parents, her house and her life in the real world. But if she stayed here, she wouldn't learn her magic, and get to see Shar and the other fairies. She knew she needed to make a decision, she couldn't live in two different worlds. She didn't want to leave either world.

Zadia decided that see should visit Avalon for a vacation, that way she could see what it was really like to live there. She didn't want to expose fairies either. So maybe she could visit one place and live in the other. But which would she live in? If she choose the real world, she would have to go back into Avalon before she got too old. Oh, why did things have to be so complicated!? In the morning she would go talk to Declan. He would know what to do.

Zadia looked at the clock, it read 10:32. 10:30! She had to get to sleep. Tomorrow she had to get up early, so she could see Declan. She laid down and tried to get to sleep. The minutes ticked by, and Zadia was still awake. The question was actually starting to scare her. What if she had to leave her parents forever? What is she could never see Avalon again? It was all to much to think about. She just had to close her eyes and forget about everything else.

She woke up at 3 am. She hoped it wasn't to early for Declan, but she really needed to talk to him! When she got back from Avalon, she would tell her parents the 100% truth. After all, if she did end up living in Avalon, she couldn't just abandon her parents. If they didn't believe her, well, that was their problem. She got out her pouch of magic dust, sprinkled it on her head, and wished to be in Avalon.

Once she got to Avalon, she hurried out of her room and went to find Declan. She found him in the lobby, he was just leaving the Palace. “Declan!” she called.“Zadia, how nice to see you! What brings you here?” Zadia explained about her questioning of whether she would live in Avalon, or in the real world. “So, I don't know where I want to live the most.” She concluded. “Ah, I see why that was troubling you. You are still young. You do not need to make that decision yet.” “Thank you for your help, Declan. Would you mind giving me directions to where Shar is at?” “Of course! I'll walk you there myself. If I'm correct, this should be his day off. Oh, and if you ever have trouble sleeping because something troubles you, don't be afraid to come see me. I'll be happy to help you.” “Thank you, I'm sure I'll take you up on your offer!”

Declan left her off at Shar's building. His building was green, and covered with leaves and flowers. She walked into the lobby to find someone to tell her what room Shar's was. This lobby a grassy colored carpet and y blue ceiling. There was a staircase right in the middle of the floor and the steeps were lined with gold. There was a young girl coming down the steeps. “Hello! Can you tell me where Shar's room is?” she asked. “Yes I do, follow me.” The girl answered. They walked up the steps, around the corner and down two door to get to Shar's room.“Here it is!” The girl said with a bow. “Thank you!” Zadia said. She knocked on the door and Shar answered it a few moments later.

“Zadia! What a surprise! What are you doing here?” he asked. “Well, I needed to talk to Declan, and while I was here I thought I would stop in.” “You needed to see Declan? Is everything alright?” he asked with his voice filled with worry. “ No no, its fine, I just wasn't sure if I should live here or in the real world. Declan told me that I didn't have to decide that yet.” “Oh, okay. And your sure everything’s alright?”

“Yes, I'm sure.” They talked for a little over an hour before Zadia said she had to go find Declan to send her home. “Well, next time you come, be sure to stop in!”Shar called after her. “ I will!” she yelled back.

Zadia found Declan sitting under a tree reading a book. “Declan? Can you send me home?” she asked. Declan looked up from his book. “Yes.” he said, and with a snap of his fingers, Zadia was home. She walked downstairs to find her parents. They were busying themselves by watching TV. “Mom, Dad? Can I talk to you?” “Of course you can dear!” her mom responded without looking away from the TV.

Zadia explained that on her trip to Gypsum, the fairies lead her to them, and how she talked to Shar and Declan, and that she was a Winter fairy, and how she got sent back here, and everything else. She got through the whole story with very few interruptions from her parents. “Now, please don't tell anyone. I don't want the fairy population to be exposed.” She concluded. “Well, I suppose we will believe you, since you never lied to us before.” Her mom said. “But this better no be a prank!” “It isn't!” Zadia assured her mom.

Zadia went up to her room to call Selina. Today was the day she came back from France. Zadia told her to meet her at the mall for lunch in 20 minutes. Zadia wasn't going to tell her that she was a fairy though, she'd told enough people that already. Zadia got some money and went downstairs to tell her parents where she was going. Once they said okay, she started on her way to the mall.

“ZADIA!” “SELINA!” The two girls ran up to each other. “Hey, lets go get something from the Pizza place!” Selina suggested. “Okay race you there!”Zadia yelled. Selina got some pepperoni pizza, and Zadia got a salad. After they finished eating, they decided to do some shopping. Zadia got a purple striped shirt, and some black pants. Selina got a bright orange shirt and and a some yellow leggings. Selina was always looking for bright and colorful clothing!

When they finally left the mall, Zadia took the long way home. She wanted to have time to think. Being a fairy was harder than it seemed. Well at least we you live in the real world and are a fairy! Zadia wanted to talk to her parents about her idea of taking a vacation to Avalon. She wanted to get to stay there before school started up next August. Then she could talk to more fairies, and learn more about herself. What see really wanted to do, was start to learn her magic. That would be a lot of fun!

“Hey mom, uh, I was wondering if I could take a vacation.” “What are you talking about? Where?”her mom said. “Well, I wanted to go to Avalon, and stay there for a while before school starts. That way I can learn my magic.” “Oh, I don't know...Let me talk to your dad.” “Okay, but remember, that is where I really came from!” Zadia concluded, and walked up to her room. She knew her parents were going to say yes... they had to, it was after all, where she came from!

Zadia was packing her bags when she heard her mom calling her. “Coming!” she shouted. Her mom told her that they agreed she could go to Avalon for 3 weeks, and that it was up to her when she would leave. Zadia was so excited, she decided to leave that night. In the morning, she would start her magic lessons. She ran upstairs, and finished packing her bags. Then she ran back downstairs and told her parents goodbye. She grabbed her bags and sprinkled the dust on her head, and wished to be in Avalon.
