“Zadia!” She heard Shar calling her. She ran over to see what he wanted. “Do you know how to make that ice armor stuff? I heard that Winters can do that.” “Yeah, I do. Oh! Your right! It would be a great armor!” Zadia answered. She got right to work on making the ice armor. There were about 31 fairies altogether. She was going to need a lot of help if she was going to get every fairy a piece of armor. But what fairy could help her? She didn't know if she could trust Diecon, and she definitely trust couldn't trust Puck. What about Declan? He was still under that spell... how could she get him off that spell?

Zadia yelled over to Shar,“Hey Shar? I'll be right back okay? I have to go check something.”

She excused herself and walked back to her room. She found her spell books under a pile of clothes she threw out of the wardrobe. She looked through each of her books, but found nothing that would help get Declan back to himself. Zadia looked through each book again, hoping she just missed something. But she didn't. She left her room and went to find Declan. Sure enough he was sitting in the same spot, under the same tree, reading the same book. If she could get the spell broken, Declan would surly die of starvation, lack of sleep, or he might even forget to breath. She had no idea how strong the spell was and if it did anything to the mind either. One thing was for sure, she had to get the spell broken.

When Zadia got back to the bridge, she continued her work like she never left. She finished about 5 full suits of armor in one hour. She thought that she might have enough time to finish all the suits, but they only got to work for another hour before they had to call a quit. The fairies were worried that Puck might come by and ask what they were doing. It is very hard to lie to a Winter, they basically see right through it! Zadia continued a bit of her work back at her room, but she couldn't get Declan out of her head. What if something happened to Puck when the try to stop him? Would Declan go down with him? Or would Declan be free? How much power does Puck have over him? Does it just hypnotize him, or can he control him too? There were too many questions, and not enough answers.

While Zadia was making her 13th armor of ice, she fell asleep. Her sleep was deep and dreamless. She had never worked herself as much as she did that day. Using all that magic drain the life from her, as well as the color from her face.

When Zadia awoke, she found herself in a place that resembled a hospital room. “Where am I?” she muttered. She stayed awake for 2 more minutes, waiting for an answer. When she didn't get one, she feel back asleep.

The next time she woke, she was still in the hospital room, but she found a fairy in there with her. The fairy was very very small. It was only a bit bigger that Tinkerbell! As soon as the little fairy saw her eyes flutter open, she flew over to her. That was another thing different about this fairy. She had wings! Zadia wondered if the thing even was a fairy. It looked nothing like any of the fairies she ever saw. “Are you feeling better?” The fairy kindly asked. “I don't even know what was wrong woth me!” Zadia answered.

“Well, apparently you used too much of your magic in one day. When you do that, you fall asleep uncontrollably. Luckily, you fell asleep at just the right time. If it would have been any worse, you would have been confined in a room full of dust for 2 days. Thats never any fun; you don't get any food or water or anything fun to do. You can't even use your magic!” The little fairy probably would have gone on and on, she seemed to be quit a talker, but Zadia stopped her. “So what exactly happened to me? I just used too much magic and fell asleep? Whats the big deal?” “The big deal? Whats the big deal? Who know what would have happened if you fell asleep at the wrong time! If you were doing a spell, and fell asleep in the middle of it, you could have killed us all!” The little fairy exclamied. For sure a little fairy she sure does have a big mouth, Zadia thought. “Who are you?” Zadia asked. She'd been wondering for a long time, but she didn't have a chance to ask the big-mouth fairy. “Me? Oh, I'm Lakona. My name means “healer.” I'm part of the healer fairies. We don't live here, we live in a place called Healer Meadow. Its just North of Avalon. When the Avolonian are in need of healing, they call use to come.” “Oh, so you travel back and fourth? Do you get paid? Zadia asked. “Yes, we go back and fourth. But I do not know what this “pa-ide” word means.” Lakona answered. She pronounced paid very wrong, Zadia made a mental note to remember that fairy words are not the same as human words.

“I really should get going. I have some, uh, things to get done.” Zadia said. She didn't know if Lakona would let her out or not, but she needed out some how. “ Well, I'm not supposed to let anyone out until they've been fully recovered for 1 day...” One day! Zadia thought, I don't have that kind of time! “But you do seem to be fine,” Lakona continued, “ I suppose I can let you out early. Just don't let anyone hear about this!” “I won't, and thank you!” Zadia called out as she left.

It took Zadia almost an hour before she finally got back to her room. She couldn't find her way, and taking random paths doesn’t work to well! When she did get back, she was surprised to find Diecon waiting by her door. “Oh, Zadia! I am so glad your back!” Diecon shouted. “Yes, I'm back. Do you need me for something?” She answered. “Yes! I really need your help! It's about Declan!” Diecon replied. Declan? Zadia wondered, Why would she possibly be worried about Declan? If she's working with Puck she ought to know whats up with him! Again that brought up the fact that she still didn't know if Diecon was working with Puck or not. What was in it for her anyways? Maybe She was about to find out now!

“Well, you see, “ Diecon continued, “I noticed that Declan was sitting under a tree a few days ago, he was reading a book. I figured he was just enjoying nature and reading, there are lots of fairies like that, including myself. So I called out to him, and he never answered. I didn't think much of it, he was probably just wrapped up in his book, I told myself. So I left him be, and continued on my way. But yesterday I went back the same way, and he was still there! He didn't even move from his spot!”

“Yeah, I noticed that too!” Zadia answered. She wasen't about to tell Diecon everything she knew, if she was just spying for Puck, she didn't want to give everything away!
