Dan p.o.v

Phil and I got up slowly and walked into the kitchen.

He started to make pancakes and I made coffee for the both of us.

"Dan?"

"Yes Phil."

"When that guy broke up with you last year what did you do. I know you really loved him I could tell so what did you do about it."

"Well obviously my situation wasn't as traumatic as yours but I was very sad. He made me so very happy just like Elise made you very happy. He was such an attractive person and we dated for so long that I thought we would never break up. But then he walked into the flat one day and told me all he was thinking."

Flashback

"Dan we need to talk."

"What's wrong Alex?"

"Everything."

"What do you mean?"

"We have to end this. You're so clingy and you never give me space. You're always so annoying and frustrating. I don't want to be with you anymore. I never truly loved you but you seemed so sad all the time that I just had to date you. I love someone else. Dan you never meant anything to me and I'm sorry I have to say this but the past year I wanted to break up with you. I'm sorry but I've found someone better."

"Someone better?"

"Yes. Bye dan I hope you find someone who actually cares about you."

End of flashback

"I cried for days. You know you were there pulling me through it. But then I realized he was mean to me. So very rude and coincided. Elise was different she was kind and generous and loved you truly. She just left without wanting to so I don't know how to help you actually. All I can say is its going to be ok. There are bound to be other people in this world who love you just as much as i-she did."

"Thanks dan. What was that last part though."

"Sorry I just mixed up my words."

He smirked a little and I could tell he knew. Why do I love this boy so much he will never love me back.

Phil p.o.v

Dan just low-key admitted his love for me again and it made me happy. After all I've been through he's been there and I love him as a friend. He could never be more than my best friend cause I would hurt him in some way then he would leave me. I wish I could love him.

After about an hour I decided to go out. Dan stayed home and filmed some videos while I journeyed to Starbucks and tried to get my mind off of him for a second.

I walked into the establishment and inhaled the warm scent of coffee and pastries. I walked up to the counter and ordered my drink from a nice lady named Sarah. We began talking and I told her about Elise.

"Elise Grafton?" She asked

How'd she know Elise?

"Yes. How do you know her?"

"She was my cousin."

I stood in shock.

"Oh. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I must not have seen you at the funeral though."

"I didn't see you either. She did talk about you a lot though all the time. She wanted me to meet you and her parents talked about you to. She truly loved you Phil."
