DANI'S POV:

I don't really know what happened yesterday. The expression on Lillian's face at lunch was heartbreaking. I just wanted to hug her and tell her it would be okay.

And then she smacked me, which I guess was because I grabbed her arm. But it still made me slightly angry. When she basically ran away, I felt bad.

It was obvious that she had some issues, but I wanted to help her and take care of her.

I was at school, it was the next day. Here I am, actually looking at the board that the teacher is writing on.

Lillian didn't show up at school today. I have a feeling that it's my fault, but I'm going to ask her friends about it at lunch.

Next to me sat Sarah and Liam, and they kept passing notes back in forth. When the teacher caught them, they ended up in detention. This made me laugh a little, which earned me a detention as well.

I didn't really care if I got a detention, my dad never got mad at me about it.

As the first half of the day dragged on, I kept on getting a feeling that something bad happened to Lillian.

When it was time for lunch I rushed through the hallways and made my way to the cafeteria. As I was looking around I saw the tall brown haired boy next to his short friend. Walking over, I could already tell that they didn't want to see me.

"Hey, where's Lillian? Is she okay?" They looked kind of shocked from my question, I guess it's because I never talk to them.

"She's fine, she just wasn't feeling well this morning" the tall boy was looking down at me as he talked.

I was tall myself, but he was a couple inches taller.

"Why do you care anyway?" The short girl had her arms crossed, her eyes narrow as she looks up at me.

"I was worried, I don't really know what happened yester-" I was cut off when I saw the shy girl walking over.

Her hair was slightly messy, but I didn't care, she looked so beautiful. As she made her way over to us, she was obviously confused. When she looked up at me nervously, I instantly felt guilty.

"I'm sorry for hitting you yesterday. I didn't mean to. Please don't beat me up or anything." When she said that my expression completely changed. I felt so bad, I didn't know that she thought that I would beat her up.

"No, of course I won't. I would never hurt you Lillian. It was a misunderstanding." As I said this I noticed her let out a breath she had been holding.

She flinched and looked away when I raised my hand, I slowly and gently brushed a strand of hair out of her face.

"Hey, relax. I won't hurt you."

She nods slowly and looks over at her friends. They look slightly annoyed by me and then I notice how Lillian backs up slightly. I hadn't even realized how close I was to her.

Before I could say anything else, her two friends pull her away and go sit down.

I sigh and shake my head while walking over to my friends. They must have been watching me, because when I came over they all burst out laughing.

"Fuck you guys." I shove Liam and shoves me back as I sit down.

"Dude! You were so rejected back there!" I roll my eyes at Liam's remark.

"You must like this girl a lot Dani, I saw the way you looked at her." This meant a lot coming from Ryan, especially since he usually stays quiet.
"Nah, she just wants an easy fuck." I glare at Liam, making him quickly look away and at his food.

I didn't just want an easy fuck, I don't know what I want. Relationships aren't really my thing, so I don't know why I care so much.

When I look up from the table, I see the hazel eyed beauty looking right at me. She notices that I see her and quickly looks away, acting as if she wasn't looking at me.

This did make me smile slightly, but she was probably just looking because I made her upset. I hated seeing her upset.

As the bell rang for the end of lunch, I stood up and walked out of the cafeteria. Me and my friends split up to go to our classes, and I noticed Lillian struggling to get passed a group of seniors that were walking towards her.

One of the seniors bumped into her and sent her to the ground. The hallways we're crowded, so I tried to push past people so that I would get to her. By the time I got to the small girl, she was curled into a ball and leaning against the lockers.

I saw how she was basically hyperventilating, so I quickly kneeled down and looked at her. I didn't know what to do in this situation.

"Hey, calm down Love. It's okay." She was coughing now, as if trying to gasp for air.

Gently, I pick her up and carry her to the nearest bathroom. When we walk inside she squirms out of my arms and runs to a toilet, coughing and throwing up. I stay close to her as I hold her hair out of her face.

She looked so scared and helpless as I rubbed her back slowly. I just wanted to hold her and take her problems away.

After a couple minutes she flushes the toilet and leans back into me, her breath is shaky and uneven as I continue to rub her arm gently.

"It's okay Love, I've got you." I whispered softly into her ear. All I wanted to do was make her happy.

She was scared and nervous, I could tell. But I wanted to make sure she was okay.

"Can you stand?" When she nods I slowly stand up, holding onto her hand.

She walks over to the sink and washes her face, she looks so cute, even when she's upset.

"Uh thanks Dani. I'm sorry." That was all the shy girl said before walking out of the room and leaving me to be alone.

How was that? I wanted their relationship to grow slightly, but not too much.

I would love some feedback or maybe even requests for the story line?
