DANI'S POV:
It's been a couple weeks since the accident, Lillian and I have been bonding more and more. I've even noticed how r friends have started talking to me more.
It was now Tuesday, and I walk walking into the school with Ryan and Sarah. Looking over at them, I saw Ryan lean down and quickly kiss Sarah's cheek before walking off.
When I woke up, Lillian told me that she liked me, but that she was scared. I told her that I would wait until she was ready, and that is still what I'm doing.
I was interrupted by my thoughts when I heard some commotion down the hall. My pace quickened when I heard somebody crying.
Lillian has been having more panic attacks lately. She says it's because she's having nightmares.
Making my way over, I quickly push people away and kneel down in front of the small brown haired girl. Her cheeks were tear stained and her eyes were red and puffy.
"Hey, Lillian, it's okay. Just breath, I'm here now." Her breath calmed down some but she was still breathing fast and hard.
I gently took her shaky hands and kissed her knuckles.
"Lillian, look at me. I'm here, it's okay now. Just breath, you need to breath."
She let's out a deep shaky breath and looks up at me. Quickly, I pull her into a gentle hug and whispered soft words into her ear.
"That's good, just relax Angel. I've got you."
By now, Sarah made everybody that was crowding us, leave. Which I was very grateful for.
The small girl's body was still shaking slightly as she pulled away, looking up at me with a sad expression.
"I couldn't find you, I had a nightmare that you left me and never came back. I got scared Dani."
Her words broke my heart, I knew that part of her still thought of me as the player I used to be, but I wanted her to trust me.
"I'm not going anywhere Lillian, I promise."
She nods slowly and stands up on her shaky legs, looking up at me as I hold onto her arm for support.
"How about I walk you to class, hmm?"
Nodding again, she hugs her books to her chest while walking next to me. I kept a protective hand on the small of her back, wanting her to know that I don't plan on leaving.
"I'm sorry for having so many panic attacks. I really am trying, I promise."
"It's okay Love, don't worry about it, I'll always be here for you. Now, get to class, I'll see you at lunch."
She nods slowly before walking into her classroom before I continue down the hall.
People have started thinking I've gone soft, but the truth is, I've only gone soft for her. I'm still the same drummer that can scare somebody with a single glare.
As I walk past my classroom and out the door, I look around for my friends. I smile and walk over to them.
"So, Dani, when are you finally going to fuck her?"
I hated how Liam thinks I'm doing this for a quick fuck, I care about Lillian.
"Fuck off Liam, I don't care about that. I just want her to feel safe with me."
It was true, I've been helping her through panic attacks for the past two weeks. Hunter and Grace told me what to do so that I could help if they weren't around. I just want her to know that I care.
My thought were interrupted by the loud school bell, causing all of us to groan and go inside. Quickly, I make my way to Lillian's classroom, knowing that she likes walking to our next class together.
When she sees me she smiles slightly and looks up at me, still hugging her books to her chest.
"Ready Angel?"
Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink as she nodded slightly while walking with me.
"I uh, can you come over after school? I wanted to talk to you about something."
I nodded and smiled at her before walking into our classroom, taking my usual seat behind the hazel eyed beauty.
I wonder what she wants to talk about. Maybe she came out to her parents, I'll just have to wait and see.
The school day passed agomizingly slow, which made me even more happy when the final bell rang.
Walking outside, I stood by the steps while waiting for Lillian. When she came outside I walked over and we both made our way to her car.
My bike was still in the shop from the accident.
Sitting down, I could see that her hands we're shaking, along with her breath.
"Hey, you okay Love?"
She nods quickly and starts the car, starting to drive towards her house.
The drive wasn't long, and it was kept in a comfortable silence. When we got to Lillian's how, we got out of the car and walked inside before she led me up to her room.
Her room is nice, it has light teal walls walls with white built in shelves and windows. Her bed is a queen size with cherry blossom like bed spread.
She shyly made her way over to her desk and set her bag down before closing her door and looking up at me nervously.
