"So, Kurt. Y'gonna tell me who this Chandler kid is?"

"He's just a friend."

"If you're sure."

"I'm sure, dad."

"I guess that's him then." Burt nodded towards the door.

"Probably."

"Y'gonna answer it?"

"Right, yes. I'll, uh, I'll go do that." Kurt cleared his throat awkwardly before walking out of the kitchen.

-_-_-

"So, Chandler." Burt raised an eyebrow, "Kurt told me you're gonna be joinin' Glee club?"

"Yes, sir. I am." Chandler nodded, "I love singing. I used to sing at my old school as well. We wou-"

"What brought you to McKinley?"

"My parents did, sir. They wanted a change so we moved. Simple as that."

"Kurt also said you've been in private schools a lot? Why such a change?"

"B-because, sir, I wanted a change too."

"So, it's got nothin' to do with Kurt?"

"Well, Kurt's my best friend bu-"

"You've only known him for 2 weeks."

"Yes, I'm aware of that."

"What makes you like Kurt so much?"

"Well, he's, uh, he's really funny and easy to get along with. He doesn't judge me and we have a lot in common so-"

"If he judged you he'd be a hypocrite. You're gay."

"Bisexual, actually."

"What the hell does that mean?"

"It means I'm, uh, attracted to both genders, sir."

"How can you like both?"

"I was just born this way, sir. I'm sorry if it offends you."

"No, no. It doesn't offend me. I've just never heard of it before."

"What? Bisexuality?"

"What else could I be talkin' about?"

"S-sorry, sir."

"You don't have to apologise."

"Sir, if I may ask. Why are you asking me all of this?"

"Because, I know you like my son and I don't want my son datin' a bad guy so I'm gonna interrogate you."

"I'm- I'm not a bad guy, sir."

"How can you be so sure? You ever cheated?"

"No! I've never even had a boyfriend!"

"But you've had a girlfriend?"

"No! I've never dated, sir!"

"So, tell me. How are you gonna be a good boyfriend to Kurt if you've got no experience?

"I-I don't plan on dating Kurt, sir."

"But you like him, though."

"As a friend, sir."

"Kurt told me that you like him. As more of a friend, I mean."

"Kurt wouldn't tell you that."

"He was confused. You confused him. He needed help."

"Why was he confused, sir?"

"Because he'd never had someone tell them they liked him. He also apparently likes someone else."

"Blaine?"

"How'd y'know?"

"Kurt always stares at him and he won't stop going on about him. Seriously, he never shuts up."

"I've noticed that too."

"But-"

"Hey, what're you guys talking about?" Kurt smiled as he stepped back into the kitchen.

"N-nothing." Chandler stammered.

"Okay." Kurt raised an eyebrow, "I'm ready to eat now."

"Finally." Burt groaned, "I'm starvin'"
