Worlds Apart

Chapter 1

"What is this place? Why am I here? Help me!" Everything around me is pitch black and something is circling me, there's a voice whispering something I can barely hear it. "Come to the forest deep in the meadow, past the willow tree. .." "leave me alone! , go away! " I scream. I toss and turn in bed the shoot straight up and run out side to my back yard. "Midnight I need you!" I call. Midnight emerges from the forest "Did you have another bad dream Kate? " She asks gently. "It was the voice again" I tell her. "What did it say this time? Tell me as much as you can remember Kate. " "Well. ..I remember, darkness, I couldn't see anything, and I remember something circling me, and a voice saying come to the forest, deep in the meadow past the willow tree, over and over again just as it does every night. " Midnight was a wolf like creature but she is more like a dog in some ways. She can talk only to people who are different. They like in the woods, her fur is thick but yet silky, she is pure white with bright blue eyes. "The voice is a mystery, no one's ever seen it, and only some people can here it, all I know is that don't listen to it ignore it until I talk to Chancy ok Kate?" "Ok" "Now try to go back to sleep, and we will go tomorrow to see Chancy." "Midnight will you stay with me?" She smiled and nodded, then she went inside and came back out with two blankets and a pillow from my bed in her mouth. Then she picked a spot outside laid down the first blanket fixed the pillow and the other blanket on top. I walked over and laid down, she covered me with the top blanket and curled up next to me. "Good night Kate. " she says. "Good night Midnight"
