Worlds Apart

Chapter 9

The next morning after we awake and go to Nixon's house and have our morning ride, Nixon,Midnight,Luna and I sit together in a field near Nixon's house. Nixon is next to my right while Midnight and Luna are to my left, Nixon and I are laying on our backs looking at the sky. I start to drift off to sleep until i'm awakens by a nightmare. I jump up and run to the edge of the field. I stand there confused and worried. What, no, it can't be true. I think to my self. Nixon's right behind me so is Luna and Midnight.  "Kate, are you ok?" He asks. "The voice has started to take over and invade the magic world!" I start to fall over because I stood up to quickly, but Nixon's already there to catch me. "You just keep fallen for me don't ya" He says with a smile, Luna and Midnight look worried. "Kate, what did you see?" Asks Luna. "The voice he's taking control of the magic world... and... Nixon and I are the only ones to stop it." I say. The smile fades from Nixon's face. "W-what, you just wake up from completely passing out for five minutes yesterday, then run off here and now you are telling us that we have to off and save some world that even isn't ours?" he asks sharply. I look him dead in the eye. "Yes, and If you arnt going to, then I will." I pause. "Nixon, this world is part of us and we can't just sit there and watch it burn." I say then turn, get on my horse and ride back to my house, with Luna and Midnight in tow behind me. Luna stops to look at Nixon. "you should be ashamed of your self, I'm very disappointed." Then she turns and runs to catch up with me and Midnight. When we get back to the house Midnight says. "alright lets get you and your horses suited up!,Kate your with me, Luna  go get Nixon please, it's time" She says. "no need he's right out front." Says Luna as Midnight drags me up stairs,she takes me in my room since we're in my living room"This is for you Kate" She says as she takes a shiny silver armor uniform from my closet.I go into the bathroom and put in on. Everything on me I armored except my face and hands. Everything is made from silver except for the sleeves witch are chain-mail. I put on the chest plate, shin, shoulder and arm guards and attach the light weight skirt that's also made from chain-mail, then I put on the silver boots.I walk out with my golden blonde hair cascaded into a mess around my shoulders. " Here let me fix your hair Kate, come sit" Says Midnight. She brushes my hair and pulls it into a bun. "You look beautiful Kate, I'll go down and check on Nixon" She says. I wait there in the bathroom sitting on the stool Midnight put there to fix my hair. Luna comes up, "Your stunning Kate, Nixon's down stairs getting ready, he's helping Midnight get the horses then he'll be up here, he wanted to talk to you before you two went off" She says. I nod then Midnight comes back up. "He's coming up" says Midnight. They both leave then I hear him knock on the door. I get up and open it. He's already changed and into his armor."Well look at you, my beautiful princess in shining armor"He says as he walks towards me. "Have you changes your mind?" I ask. He hesitates. "Y-yes." He says. I gently put my hands on his cheeks. He looks at me dead in the eyes. "Nix, this world needs us, don't you see? We and all the others like us including Midnight and Luna will die without us if we don't do something."I say. "I know." He says. Midnight and Luna come up the stairs,  "Come out side both of you, your almost ready" Says Luna. We go outside side by side Nixon's to my left. Our horses are out and saddled up, we walk out I stroke Rose's muzzle and Nixon pets Jackson's neck. "Now time for a quick magic lesson, focus your magic on your horses, for they are no ordinary horses." Says Midnight.
