Worlds Apart

Chapter 11

 "Ah there they are, the new soon to be king and queen of the magic realm, you are pathetic!, this should be easy." Says the wispy black creature standing in front of us. Nixon and I look at each other. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "Oh so Midnight hasn't told you... hmm wonder why..." Says the creature as he try to step forward, I draw my sword and move in front of Nixon, Luna and Midnight. "Stay back! Your fight is with us not them!" I say firmly, my sword still aimed at the creature. "Very well then... lets get started, you first," Says the creature. He slashes his long gnarly sharp claws at me and Nixon we both dodge and counter attack I cut his hand off while Nixon slashes the thing. After a long battle it comes close to an end. We'd been fighting for what seemed like two minutes was really two hours, all of us week and beat up. The creature slashes at Nixon, his eyes widen as he calls my name. "K-Kate" He says as he starts to fall but I catch him "No, no Nixon, stay with me" I say. His left hand near his center, he lifts his hand slightly blood trickling down his armor as he looks up at me. "Kate... go... i'll be fine..." Tears stream down my face"Nix, i'm not leaving you" I say. "Please... just go" I close my eyes and shake my head up and down slightly, Luna and Midnight takes over. "Alright, now you've done it!, how dare you take over this world and hurt my best friend, it's over!" I yell. The creature waves his hand as I see a arrow coming straight to me, that's when Midnight jumps straight in front of me and lands to the ground with a lifeless thud.
