*ashley's pov*

"Hey, what's wrong?" Ryan, my close friend, asks.

"Nothing."

"Ashley, it's not nothing just tell me," he says.

"My parents favor my sister over me and they yell at me twenty-four-seven. I cry myself to sleep every night because I know that my parents don't love and I will never be as good as my sister," I explain, starting to cry.

"I think you're better than you sister! And I love you," Ryan says, pulling me into a hug.

"Y-you do?" I ask.

"Of course I do. What's not to love about you?"

"Everything," I mumble.

"What?" He exclaims. "No, everything about is amazing!"

"Thanks, Ry." I look up at him and he kisses my forehead, making me blush.

"Ashley, we've known each other for a long time and I want to know if you want to be my girlfriend," he says.

"Yes!" I squeal making Ryan laugh.

"C'mere," he says before softly kissing my lips.
