A/N: I recommend listening to "The End of All Things" by Panic! At the Disco for best effect (This entire chapter is in Ryan's POV)

About a month ago y/n was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer in her left lung. She was having trouble breathing and she would wake up in the middle of the night coughing, sometimes with blood, and she's been in the hospital ever since. I visit her everyday and I stay from the time visiting hours start to the time they end.

"Good morning, Mr Ross." The lady at the front desk said as I passed her

"Good morning." I repeated back to her before making my way to the elevator

I went into the elevator and pressed the button with the number '3' on it. I tapped my fingers against the wall of the elevator as I anxiously waited for it to get to the third floor. The elevator opened and I rushed out and went to room 116.

"Good morning baby." I said, giving y/n a kiss on the lips and she did her best to kiss back

"Good morning Ry." She weakly responded

I hated seeing her like this. But I know she can beat this cancer.

"Ry?" Y/n said

"Yes, baby?" I responded in a heartbeat

"When I die, promise me you'll move on." Y/n slowly said

"Y/n, how many times have we gone over this? You're not gonna die." I assured

"But what if I do?" She asked

"I don't know. And I hate it when you say these things." I said as I felt a tear roll down my face

Y/n looked down at her hands and didn't say anything

"Brendon and Spencer are coming to visit you today." I said with a small smile

Jon didn't like to be involved with the whole cancer thing. He said it depressed him too much.

"Ok." Y/n said, not looking at my face

-------------------------------------------------

Brendon and Spencer finally got to the hospital.

"Hey, y/n." Brendon cheerfully greeted

Y/n just waved

"You ok, Ryan?" Brendon worried

"Yeah, I guess." I replied

"Don't worry, Ryan, we're here for you and y/n." Spencer smiled sympathetically

Brendon and Spencer left a few hours later. Y/n was only looking down at her hands and not at me. I grabbed one of her hands and she pulled it away.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you talking to me?" I asked softly

"I don't want you to be any closer to me than you already are. I don't want you to be as depressed when I die." Y/n cried

I sat on the hospital bed next to y/n and gave her a hug as she cried into my chest

"Baby, don't say that. Your not going to die." I said, rubbing her back as she cried

I pulled away from the hug and cupped y/n's face with my hands and wiped away her tears with my thumbs. I gently pressed my lips against y/n's, trying not to mess up her breathing tube.

"I love you so much, please promise me that you'll stop saying you're going to die." I begged

"Ok." She said, a small smile crept onto her face

"Mr Ross, visiting hours are over." A nurse said

"Oh, ok." I said before kissing y/n again

"Tomorrow y/n will be getting chemotherapy at 10 a.m." The nurse informed

"O-ok." I stuttered before leaving

I went to the hospital at 8 a.m. like usual. I went to y/n's room. When I walked in she was crying. I quickly rushed to her side.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I quickly asked

"I-I'm getting c-chemo!" Y/n cried

"Shhh. It's ok. I'm here now." I whispered as I hugged her

I hugged her until she stopped crying, which took about 45 minutes.

The nurses took y/n for her chemo and I nervously waited in the waiting room.

"Mr Ross, you can see y/n now." A nurse informed me

I went back to y/n's room.

"Ry, they found something." She started

"What is it?" I asked, my eyes started to tear up

"They found a-another tumor in my other lung." She said as she started to cry again

I embraced her in a hug and tried my best to comfort her. I felt tears stream down my face.

~~|2 Weeks Later|~~

Y/n started to lose her hair from the chemo sessions. She was still beautiful and I told her everyday.

"Ry, I'm really tired. You should go home." Y/n said

"It's ok, you can sleep. But I don't want to leave. I want to be here with you." I stated

Within about 20 minutes y/n was asleep. She was so peaceful that I sometimes had to make sure she was still breathing. She slept the rest of the time I was there. I gave her a kiss on the forehead before I left.

I was woken up at 1:23 a.m. to a phone call.

"Hello, Mr Ross?" A female voice asked

"Y-yes?" I groggily stuttered into the phone

"I am very sorry to say but y/n y/l/n has passed away." The woman said

Tears poured down my face

"Mr Ross?" The woman said

"Yes." I said trying not to sound like I was crying

"You may come to the hospital if you would like. Please take care." The woman said before hanging up

I quickly got in the car and started driving to the hospital. I called Brendon but I didn't expect him to answer.

"H-hey Brendon." I cried

"Ryan what's wrong?!?!" He exclaimed

"Y/n d-died." I said

"Oh my god! I'll be at the hospital soon and I'll get Spencer." Brendon said and with that I hung up

I finally got to the hospital and I rushed inside to the front desk.

"Where's y/n?!?!" I exclaimed, still crying

"She is in the same room as before and they are taking care of her body now." The lady at the front desk said

"Thanks." I said before running to y/n's room

There she laid. So peaceful. I walked over to her lifeless body and kissed her forehead. I felt a hand land on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Ry." Brendon said

"Thanks." I said

"We'll help you through this Ryan." Spencer assured

"Thanks guys, it really means a lot." I said and I couldn't stop crying

What was I going to do now?
