Frank's POV

"You were drooling on my shoulder just so you know.", Gerard mumbles as he stretches his arms out.

"I was?", I ask as I take a big yawn and cover my eyes to block the morning light flooding through the blinds.

"Yea, you were", Gerard chuckles as he sinks deeper into the blankets.

"Sorry."

"It's fine. It was cute."

I blush and look away from him. But I don't feel any shame since he's blushing with me too.

"So whatcha wanna do today?", I ask trying to change the subject of how cute I look when I drool.

"It's too early for that."

I shrug and cuddle next to him under the thick blanket. "Not too early for coffee, though", Gerard says with a smirk.

"True, but I used the last bag last night, so we'll have to go to Starbucks or something"

"Starbucks is overrated. It's full of prissy white girls. Let's go somewhere else like Tim Hortons or something."

"What's that?"

"You'll see, it's another coffee place that's a million times better than Starbucks", he chuckles.

"Well I'm gonna go get dressed. You should too.", I say as I get up pulling in Gerards arm to help him get up with me.

"Why can't we go in our pajamas?", he whines like a little kid.

"Because you're not three years old.", I say blankly.

"You have a good point", he says getting up with me.

He groans as he digs through his bag and pulls out some clothes.

"Ok don't look at me now.", he says with his back facing me.

"Then don't look at me either."

As soon as I know he's not looking at me I turn around to see his big hazel eyes staring right back at me.

In the brief moments I'm staring I can't help but notice all the tiny scratches and cuts imbedded into his back and chest. And his arms, his arms are the worst. Deep gashes cover his shoulders and smaller cuts cover his wrists and forearms. Like a human cutting board. Regardless, he's still beautiful to me.

Gerard immediately turns back around once he sees that I'm staring right back at him. His expression matches a deer caught in headlights.

"You can turn back around if you want.", I mumble, "I don't care, anyways", I say this time a little louder.

"Hm, no thanks. I'm almost done anyways."

"Me too."

I finish putting my foot in the last pant leg and turn back around go Gerard who was sitting on my bed looking down at the floor.

"You can look up now".

"Good, let's go then.", Gerard says as walks out the door pulling a black hood to cover his face.

"Can I ask what happened to your face?", I ask cautiously.

"Er, well-", Gerard pauses, "let's just say it's a long story.", he finishes, his sad gaze drifting back to the sidewalk.

"Oh sorry, I didn't know."

"It's fine."

"So are we gonna walk or drive?", I ask, trying to change the subject.

"We're walking right now. Aren't we?", he says with a little smile.

"Right."

"Damn rain though. We should've brought an umbrella.", Gerard mutters.

I nod silently and continue to walk in the sprinkling rain. We eventually get to the coffee shop and Gerard removes his damp hoodie as we get inside.

"Gerard! Is that you?", a voice exclaims from a table nearby.

Simultaneously, we both turned our heads in the direction where it came from. A horrified look spread across Gerard's face once he realized it was his mom and dad there. Gerard reached for my arm about to bring me out the door with him. Before we could leave his mom pulled Gerard in a hug, while his dad payed no attention and continued to look away, wishing he was somewhere else.

"Get away from me!", he hissed.

She did pull away from him. "Gerard why are you acting like-", I watched as her eyes jumped straight to Gerard's face. "What happened to your face honey? Have you been hurting yourself again? Have you been taking your medication?", she asked pitifully.

"No, I haven't. And yea, I've been getting high off of them.", Gerard finished with a mischievous smirk. Does he ever learn? "C'mon Frank lets go."

We left before his mom could pick her gap in jaw off of the floor. Gerard definitely knows how to get out of things. He swung the door open and let me walk out first. He didn't dare to look back. And I didn't want him too. I was also fed up with all of his mom's bullshit.

"Guess we're going to Starbucks instead.", Gerard said putting my hand in his as we walked in the rain.

Hai.
