Chapter 10

The next morning Sydney found me in the kitchen and asked if she could talk to me. I didn't want to talk to her but after everything that had happened I felt like it might have be important.
"Is it important?" I asked bluntly.
"Yes... Very."
"Well go on then." I hissed.
"Um... Noah didn't actually rape me." She said looking down at the ground.
"What!" I yelled.
"I'm sorry Pen."
"No don't even try. You ruined a mans life!"
"Can I just explain?"
"Why? What is it that is going to make the situation better?"
"Well... We had been together for a couple of months and been sleeping together the whole time."
"Wow Sydney really classy. You're one classy lady aren't you."
"Don't be like that Pen."
"I can be like whatever I want Sydney. You ruined a mans life! For no reason!"
"It wasn't for no reason." She added trying to plead her innocence.
"So what is this reason that is worth sending an innocent "(ish)" man to prison for."
"He said he was going to tell you about us." She couldn't even look me in the eye.
"So you accused him of rape."
"I didn't want you to look at me like scum." She said trying to fix our relationship.
"You're a selfish little bitch Sydney Natasha Gregory!" I yelled. I grabbed my bag and got in my car.
"BITCH!!!" I screamed hurling my fists to the steering wheel, hitting the leather over and over again. Eventually I started the car and drove around for awhile. I stopped outside Tyler's house, tears streaming down my naked face. I gathered myself and got out of the car, I knocked on the front door and the guy with the pink hair answered.
"Oh hello stranger, haven't seen you in awhile." He said cheerfully.
"I'm sorry I'm looking for Tyler I think I got the wrong address."
"No you got the right one. I'm Josh Dun his best friend. I'm just staying here for a few days."
"Okay, so where is Tyler?"
"He's in bed, I'll wake him if you want."
"Uh no it's fine I'll uh come back later." Just before I turned to leave I heard Tyler shouting; I looked up and saw him hanging out of the second story window shouting for me to come up. Josh invited me in and showed me to Tyler's room.
"Hey what's up? Why are you here so early?" He asked. He looked so cute first thing in the morning; his stubble, messy hair and sweat pants all combined just melted my heart, I couldn't believe somebody so cute would be falling for me.
"Hello earth to Aspen." He said in an odd voice as if he was trying to explain something to someone who doesn't speak English.
"Sorry just my sister dropped a massive bombshell on me."
"Why what happened? Have you been crying?"
"Yeah, I know I'm not surprised either." I giggled. "Basically Noah never raped my sister. She made it up because they had been sleeping together for months and didn't want me to find out but finally confessed."
"So an innocent guy went to Jail because she didn't want you to know they had been sleeping together?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed.
"That insane." He said. His eyes widened and he started to scratch the stubble on his chin.
"I can't believe she would do that. It's bad enough that she slept with my boyfriend but sending him to prison."
"I don't even know what to say."
"Don't say anything." I said looking up at Tyler who looked slightly confused.
I slowly walked closer to him and he reached out to grab my shoulders.
"Aspen...." He started.
"Yes Tyler."
"I'm going on tour soon." He said sadly.
"What does that mean?"
"It means I'm going to be away for 8 months."
"Why? You can't leave me right now."
"I don't want too but I have no choice."
"I need you Tyler."
"Why don't you come with me?" He asked hopefully.
"Can I?"
"Of course you can. I want to be with you and I need you as much as you need me."
"When do we leave!?"
Tyler picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he twirled me around. We both couldn't stop giggling with excitement and in that moment I realised in the last month and a bit Tyler had made me feel the happiest I had felt in years and that is something I couldn't let go of. I realised that I fell in love with this amazing guy who made me feel important and loved, I just couldn't get over that.
