Ch 15

Karen's pov

Let me just be honest with myself. It was kinda hot when Matt called me babe. But I don't want him to be hot. I want answers from him. All of them. Right now. And I'm pretty sure he read everything that's going on in my mind right now. I hate that.

"Matt tell me why you're protecting me. Whatever it is that you're protecting me from." I say looking directly at him.

"Karen, that is what I'm protecting you from, knowing. I don't want you to know. It's way to dangerous for you to find out." His eyes are dark now. It's like they always go with his mood.

"Well maybe if you just tell me I could protect myself from it." Whatever it is, I'm sure I could handle it.

"No you can't handle it Karen." His response makes me wonder even more. What could it possibly be?

"Matt you can't keep me here. I want to go home now." Although his place is really nice. Better than I'll ever have.

Matt's pov

I want to protect Karen. I have to. I can't let another beautiful girl die. I promised myself I won't take my eyes off of this one.

"If you want to go home I'll have to take you. And I'm not asking." I know she won't like it but it's for her own good.

"Fine, but this time I'm driving the entire way back." She says in a very demanding, sexy, sassy way. Damn.

I hand her the keys and head to the car with her.

-3pm-

Karen's pov

It took forever getting home from Matt's house. He lived so far away and he had to tell me where to go which took even longer but I'm finally in my driveway. Matt and I both got out of the car.

"Are you going to go inside with me?" I ask him but when I turn to look at him, he's not there. Him and his games all the time. How does he do it? I will never know.

I walk in the front door and Siena runs at me almost knocking me down. I can't believe I left her alone all night.

"Where were you? Did you sleep with Jack? Oh my god you did, didn't you! I was worried about you. You didn't answer your phone since last night!" She throws at me.

"Oh sorry it must've died" I try and not to mention Jack.

"So how was last night?" She smirks at me.

"I really don't want to talk about it." She has no idea.

"Did he hurt you?" Siena looks worried.

"No but I need to change my clothes." I run up to my room before she asks me anything else. I'm such a terrible friend to her.

When I open the door to my room I find a very unpleasant surprise laying on my bed. Matt.

"Nice to see you too babe." He says in the most sarcastic voice. He definitely read my mind just now.

"What are you doing here?" I really want him to leave. Well, part of me does.

"I heard you were going to change so here I am." He smiles. His smile is really cute. Makes me want to kis- no this is Matt I'm talking about. What is wrong with me.

"You're not going to see, so get out. Now." I demand and go to my dresser to get my clothes.

"Fine but I'll be back later." He says.

"When is later?" I turn around to look at him but looks like he already left. I hate when he does that, I'm always left talking to myself.

I change and head back to the living room where Siena is still at. I take a seat right next and hope she's not mad me.

"Want to watch Pretty Little Liars?" I ask her in a sweet way.

"Yea." She answers with a smile. Good thing she's not mad.

Siena and I watch Pretty Little Liars for a few hours and notice the sun has gone down.

"I'm heading to bed, goodnight." She yawns and heads upstairs.

"Goodnight." I smile at her. I'm not really tired but I'll try to sleep. I turn everything off and start walking to the stairs.

"Finally. I thought she'd never leave." A creepy voice says.

I'm frozen in place. I have no idea where that came from or what that was. My legs run up the stairs before my mind catches up. I run to my room and lock the door. Running out of breath, I head for my bed and see Matt on it.

"What happened?" He asks worried.

"I d-don't know. I heard s-something and I don't know what it was." I stutter.

If that wasn't him than what the hell was it?

Matt's pov

It's already starting. Fuck.
