The Proposal
Loki paced the hallways of the palace, anxiety arising in his chest. He knew that today he had to ask you to marry him. He knew that you both were destined to be, soulmates to say the least. But why should a prince as cunning as Loki, be anxious on this day? Odin's blessing. Something Loki was positively not going to receive. His so-called father had given his blessing to Thor to marry a mortal, but only because Thor 'kept his word' and was 'trustworthy' not like his 'brother'. Well at least in Odin's eyes he was. So in Loki's distress, he called upon the only other person he could trust in his life (other than you and himself). Loki walked to his mother, Frigga's chambers. He knocked thrice on the door before his mother let him in. "What is it my child? You look pale," she motioned for Loki to enter her room, sitting himself down by the edge of her bed. "Mother, I seem to be in a situation that will not end in the way I planned." Loki started to explain. Frigga motioned for him to keep talking, as she sat down beside him. "I-I have intentions to propose marriage to (Y/N) this evening." Loki managed to say. His mother grabbed his hands and let out a cheerful sigh,"Why Loki, that is wonderful! My son will be getting married!" She suddenly stopped rejoicing as she noticed a single tear running down Loki's cheek. "Loki, what's wrong?" Frigga worriedly said. "The All-Father is not going to allow it. No matter what I can do or say to make him change his mind, he is very stubborn. We both know that." Loki's voice cracked as he tried to remain calm. Frigga looked into her sons eyes and asked him a very important question, "Do you love her Loki,"
"With all my heart," Loki swooned, thinking of you. "Then what are you waiting here for? Go, I will talk with Odin. He will have to come around to the idea sooner than later. After all, he can't say no to his wife." Frigga said, standing up to give her son a hug. "Take this, think of it as my blessing," Frigga crafted a beautiful ring made of diamond, emerald, and gold with her magic, and placed it in Loki's hand. "Thank you mother," Loki grinned as she kissed him on his cheek and sent him on his way. His way to propose that is.
~~In the royal garden~~
Loki had looked around the palace for you, and finally had found you in the royal gardens. It was your favourite place to be, it was a calming and beautiful atmosphere. As you stood in front of gorgeous glowing flowers, you were surprised by two arms hugging you from the behind. You knew at once that it was Loki, with his gentle embrace and dark but subtle scent. "Pretty aren't they," you said, leaning back into Loki. He chuckled softly as he tucked a strand of hair away from your face. "Yes, but nothing could compare to you my queen," Loki smiled and turned you to face him. "You always know how to flatter me with those words of yours," you shook your head trying to hide the blush on your cheeks.
"And Loki my dear, what have you been doing? I haven't seen you all day!" You playfully slapped his chest as he snickered at your worried expression. "You will know in time my dear (Y/N)," he smirked in response. He started walking down the paths of the garden, causing you to walk-run in order to keep up with his long strides. "Loki Laufeyson don't you play those games with me!" You laughed as you finally caught up with him, latching onto his hands. Your silver gown shone in the moonlight as you stopped under a beautiful arch made from Asgardian crystal that the Goddess of Love carved herself. You had always loved the arch, as it sparkled when the stars shone on it. It was also said that the goddess put a spell on the arch, that would captivate the two lovers underneath it, on a day where two realms were parallel to each other. It was your favourite legend. As you both stood under the arch, Loki held your hands in his.  "My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite." Loki recited as he looked into your eyes. The passage was from Romeo and Juliet, one of your favourite novels. He then continued, bringing you closer to him. "(Y/N) (Y/L/N), your eyes shine like the sun that gazes across this realm. Your smile reminds me of the day when you made me feel whole again. (Y/N) my queen, you are truly the greatest part of my life, and I cannot imagine a future without you. So with these words from my heart, will you please do me the honour of being my queen for the rest of infinity?" Loki knelt down on his knee and held out the beautiful ring to you. You nodded your head franticly, tears rolling down your face as threw yourself into Loki's arms. He slipped the ring on your hand and then wrapped his hands around your waist. He brought you closer towards him, giving you a passionate kiss. "I cannot even describe my love for you Loki," you managed to say through your tears. "Nor can I my love," Loki proclaimed. As you kissed once more, the arch started to glow as sparks floated down from the top of it. A glowing light weaved its way between you and Loki, before bursting into small stars. "Loki, the legend! It's true! Did you plan all of this?!" You exclaimed as you looked up in awe around you. "Well, I did have to wait until two realms had paralleled to each other. I would have done this sooner, I'm sorry that I have kept you waiting. I just wanted tonight to be one you'd never forget." Loki smiled. "Oh, how I love you my Loki," you sighed dramatically and snuggled into his chest. He chuckled lightly and pulled you closer, "And I love you my queen."
