Chapter 21

Caity's POV : I made it to the signing just in time but with shortness of breath and sweat. "Here you go," I said while breathing in between every word as I handed Monica her camera. "Thank you...are you okay Caity?" She asked with concern. "You look like you've seen a ghost," Hayden said. "More like heard," I mumbled under my breath. I thought no one heard me but then Andy gave me a questioning look. Next thing you know Dave touches my shoulder to make his way to sit down. I cringed at the action. What a monster.

The signing didn't take as long. Neither did the AP interview. We made our way to the bus and as soon as we did Dave spoke, "hey guys I just wanted to let you know that after Warped Tour...Moni and I are moving in together !" Everyone erupted in cheers except for me. Although Andy seemed like he was faking it. But I was enraged because Monica and Dave looked so happy but I knew that one of them was faking it. I was so aggravated so I might have said something, "NO !" Andy gave me a smirk but everyone gave me confused looks. "I-I mean NO WAY ! I'm so happy for you!" Way to go Caity. I need to tell Monica and Andy.

Monica's POV : This morning when I woke up in my bunk with Dave he asked me if I wanted to move in with him. I felt like I was on top of the world. It all felt surreal. Maybe this was the person I was going to marry. When I said yes he hugged me tightly and kissed me. We had a cute moment. We decided on telling everyone when we were done for the day but I just wanted to tell Caity first. She's my person but Dave disagreed so I just went along with it.

Everyone was talking amongst themselves when Dave smiled at me and spoke, "hey guys I just wanted to let you know that after Warped Tour...Moni and I are moving in together !" Everyone erupted in cheers and honestly I was just so, so happy right now. I noticed Caity didn't seem so thrilled and then shouted no but then immediately said no way. I was glad she was happy for me.

Andy's POV : After Dave and Moni sadly announced they were moving in together made my heart sink. It made me kinda feel uneasy honestly, not just because I didn't like the idea of them together but something seemed off today. Caity was acting super fishy. I got off the bus to smoke and immediately saw some shadows ; heard some voices. It almost sounded like crying.

I remained quiet and got closer to the back of the bus. "I KNOW you heard my conversation with Dave about your little stupid best friend ! NOW tell me what you know or else !" It was Bailey. But who was she talking to ? "Oh please or else what ? leave me alone. I don't have time for your lies. I heard nothing, i just came to get Moni's camera." Caity ? Then I heard something, like a pop almost (sound on the top p.s. its a pocket knife).

"Are you gonna tell me NOW ?! AND YOU BETTER NOT TELL MONI" "B-Bailey we should just have a civil conversation. Loo-k I have to go. BYE" I heard running coming my way and suddenly Caity appeared. Her eyes went wide and she was as pale as a ghost. "A-andy?" She asked in a low whisper. "What was that all about? Are you alright ?" "I-I it's nothing it was just Bailey was asking if I heard her convo with Dave about...throwing Moni a party for when she moves with Dave that's all. Anyways um we should get back on the bus." She was quick to get on. I nodded and headed towards the bus.

When I walked in on the bus Dave was on top of Moni making out on the sofa, in the front lounge. "UGH," I groaned out. Caity sat down with Hayden and stared at nothing in particular. She was just so, so emotionless. The color had been drained from her face completely. "Hey I'm Caity can I talk to you for a second ?" "Huh? What? Why? Did I do something wrong?" "No not all, just need some advice." We walked to back lounge in silence.

I locked the door and sat her down next to me. "Caity what happened out there ?" "What do you mean what happened out there? T-the f-f-front lounge or?" Something was clearly wrong. I grabbed her face with my hands and looked into her eyes, "you can trust me. I won't tell anyone. So please, calm down. No one will hurt you." That seemed to have calmed her down because as soon as I said that she took deep breaths. "B-Bailey cheated on you with several men...including Dave. I overheard her talking to Dave about it. She was only using you for your money. Dave used Moni for sex but she didn't respond. She wanted to keep Moni away from you so you wouldn't leave her. She threatened me with a pocketknife. Thank God, it feels good to get that out. DON'T TELL HER IT WAS ME PLEASE."

"WHAT?!" I was enraged! I WAS AGGRAVATED! I unlocked the door and stomped to the front lounge. Moni and Dave were still making out while Bailey was sitting across from them on her phone. I pried Dave off of Moni and slapped the phone that I PAY out of Bailey's hand. "What's your problem," Dave and Bailey said in sync. "YOU DON'T SPEAK !" I yelled at Dave. Moni looking at me with the most confused look ever. I turned my attention to Bailey and she looked scared. "YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH DAVE AND STRANGERS AND WERE ONLY WITH ME BECAUSE OF MY MONEY YOU GOLD DIGGER! I TRULY HATE YOU AND DESPISE YOU! YOU'RE A GIGANTIC WASTE OF TIME!" Then i continued yelling, "AND YOU," I pointed at Dave, "YOU WERE ONLY USING MONI FOR SEX AND TO KEEP HER AWAY FROM ME! YOU'RE DISGUSTING AND REPULSIVE ! YOU'RE A SICK EXCUSE FOR A BOYFRIEND! YOU CHEATED ON HER TOO! YOU IGNORANT F.UCKING PIG!"

Dave and Bailey exchanged scary looks. They were speechless. GOOD. Everyone on the bus was absolutely quiet. "Look m-moni I-I can explain. I start-ed liking y-ou a-a-and-," Dave said was cut off by Moni. "SHUT UP! I was only worth a bet. That's what I meant to you ? A FREAKING bet you had to keep going?! You wasted my time! You even cheated on your 'bet'. Guess you lost anyways. Just leave me alone. We're over. I TRULY thought you were different. But you broke my heart. You're a stupid piece of s.hit!" "N-no see I started feeling something for you! Just please forgive me!" "Let Jesus forgive you, not me." She then slapped him and went to her bunk and got all of Dave's stuff out, "GET OUT!"

Monica's POV : My heart felt like it was stabbed over and over again. I had horrible luck with guys. Gosh. I've been cheated on twice in a relationship. Andy and Dave didn't actually like me. I was currently in my bunk, letting the tears stream down my face. I felt sick, emotionally and physically. Why did things like this happen to me? I had always been a good person. Next thing you know Caity comes into my bunk, "hey sugar plum. you okay?" "Ha no. Guys just really hate me." "Well the good thing is that Bailey isn't coming back." "I don't care anymore." "Look, I needed to show you this but never got the chance to," she pulled out her phone and clicked on her voice recorder.

"Just when I thought things couldn't get worse." I truly didn't know how much I could take of this. I just heard the FULL story behind everything. I hated my life. I truly did. This place felt like drowning and I needed some air so i didn't feel like I was dying. Suddenly an idea came to mind. "Caity, I'm done. I have to go home. I can't be here anymore. It's a death trap. I need to leave." "W-what? No please don't! The tour is only a few weeks left." "I'm leaving. It's decided. I'll come back. I just need some space for a while. I'm leaving." "When?" "After their set. You can't tell them I went home. Make up a lie and say I went to a hotel or something. Please." "Okay."

"This is going to be our last song for today so enjoy!" Dave said to the crowd. Just looking at him made me sick. "As I stare into these ruins made by man..." Andy sang. I turned to my left and nodded at Caity. She frowned and hugged me tightly, "I'm gonna miss you." "Me too. I'll be back though. I'll be back in a week. Just say I left but I'll come back, just needed some space." "Alright. I love you. Call me."

I ran to the bus as fast as possible. I grabbed my stuff from the restroom and my bunk. Then I went outside and opened the doors on the sides of the bus to get my luggage. I wrote on a sticky note, "I had to get out. I had to swim on my own, I didn't want to drown. Don't look for me. - moni." I posted it on the fridge and walked away. I walked out the parking lot for the buses and called an uber. They were there in no time. "Where to ?" "Nearest hotel please." I decided on staying in a hotel for just tonight. I would be leaving to Dallas tomorrow.

Andy's POV : The band, Caity, and I were heading to the bus after a sweaty set. I immediately sat down, "hey Brandon could you get me a water from the fridge?" "Yea bro." He walked to the fridge and said "woah what's this ?" "What ? Is there no more ?" "No, it's just look at this," he said handing me a neon pink sticky note. I read it...my heart was filled with anger and sadness. But I knew who was to blame. I went over to Dave and threw the sticky note at him, "YOU caused this!" I went over to Caity who seemed calm considering she is her best friend. Wait a minute, "Where is she ?!" "She went away for a while. She needs some space Andy." "TELL ME!" "I can't. She trusted me and to betray her trust." Moni was coming back. She had to be.
