Chapter 27

Andy's POV: I felt someone poking my leg. I looked down to see a little girl who I assumed was my daughter. My heart fluttered. Fireworks went off in my heart. She's absolutely beautiful. I was going to take her to our set. This was truly love at first site. I didn't think I was going to be able to see her so soon. I'm so happy Monica brought her. Plus twenty one pilots were playing this entire week! I always wondered how they looked like, I only listened to them.

Our set was at 11:3O, Monica was currently holding Faith in her arms, wearing huge headphones so she wouldn't damage her baby ears. Monica was a good mom, you could just see it. We were ending our set and we were about to singing Memories of a Broken Heart. I don't know, but this time made the song more memorable. I wrote it about Monica and now she was here looking the same as she always did with our daughter. Halsey was getting her surgery today, which i was more than grateful for.

I kept looking at Monica during the song. Our eyes finally let when I sang, "I know there's a way out when all hope is lost." But instead of 'All', I said 'Our'. Of course I was still extremely pissed at Monica. But today, just made my anger lessen. After the song, the crowd cheered and I thought this would be a perfect moment to bring Faith out. Just as everyone was about to leave I said, "Hey everyone, i would like to introduce you to my daughter. Bring her out here." Monica walked on stage with a nervous look and everyone awed, "A-and this is her mother, Monica." People whistled at her but she just smiled. I picked Faith up and grabbed her hand to make her wave to everyone. "her name is Faith!" I said and the crowd cheered. "SHE HAS BLESSED GENES! BOTH OF YOU GUYS ARE FREAKING HOT!" a girl in front row said and everyone laughed. The band, and Monica walked off stage.

The band, Monica, Caity, Faith, and I were on our way to see Twenty One Pilots since it was already 12:OO. I pulled Monica behind while she was talking to Caity about something. "Um could I ask you something?" I asked while rubbing my neck. "You just did," she joked but continued to talk, "what's up?" "Uh I was wondering if you, Faith, and I...could um...hang out after top's set today? You know I just thought that she would like to hangoutwithbothofherparents?" I rambled the last part. She laughed, "yea of course, I think that'll be good for her." With that she walked away.

We all arrived to the stage TOP was playing at, they would be going on in 2 mins. They had quite the crowd. Probably a couple 1OO people. Just then 2 guys ran on stage and everyone cheered. "Hello everyone we are twenty one pilots and so are you! This song is called 'Kitchen sink'." I saw who the drummer was, and I seriously almost face palmed myself. Of course, it was Josh. "Yup everyone those are my two buddies, I live with them in our house. Faith loves them!" Monica said to everyone. "DUDE NO WAY!" the rest of the band said in sync. "Can we like meet them after?" Brandon asked. "If it's okay with them, which I'm sure they'll be fine with," she said.

After the set the very sweaty duo came off stage and greeted everyone. All the rest of my band members were practically shaking. Caity was just normal about it, im sure she already knew who they were. "uncle josh and twler!" Faith said and both them came over, while wipping their sweat away. "May we?" Who I'm assuming was 'Twler' asked. I nodded and gave him Faith. "Hey there beautiful! Did you enjoy the show?" Tyler asked in a very babylike voice. "Mhm!" Tyler gave her to Josh next, "How's my favorite niece doing?" "Good, I missed you!" He hugged her tightly and tackled her with kisses. She couldn't stop laughing, her laugh was adorable. He the handed her to Monica. They were like a family, I was actually happy that Faith had them around her.

Afterwards, Josh and Tyler were going to hang out on the bus with Caity and the band. Now it was just Monica and I headed to the park, with Faith in between us holding onto to both of our hands. We arrived, and took Faith to the swing sets. Her eyes lit up and I started to push her. She giggled and it seemed as if she was having the time of her life. "Higher papa!" She said and I did as told. "Mama can you push me know so Papa can have a break?" She was so considerate and sweet. "Of course my princess," Monica said. She pushed her for about 1O more minutes before Faith wanted to go on the slide. "Mama, papa will you both go the slide with me?" We couldn't say no but gave each other an awkward look. We put Faith in front us, just where the slide started. Next Monica wrapped her arms around her and held onto her. Last but not least was me, I awkwardly wrapped my arms around Monica. She tensed up but then shook her head. "Ready?" I asked. They both nodded and we slid down the slide. It was actually really fun. We all laughed. I was having a great time.

After that we bought ice cream from the paletero. Monica for strawberry, I got vanilla, and Faith got rainbow sherbert. We sat down on a bench, once Faith finished her ice cream she asked if she could go play on the horse that rocked back anf forth. We allowed her. Monica and I weren't talking to each other until she spoke up, "You know, you're a great dad." She said truthfully. Hearing that from her, made me happy.

"You're a great Mom too." "Thanks, I really do try. I'm just so lucky that I-we have a great daughter." "Yea, she's absolutely wonderful." "You know, she thinks you're a hero right?" "Why is that?" "I told her you and the band saved me from bad guys. Also that the music you make really helps people." "Thank you for that." "No problem." After that we sat in silence, that is before she started crying. "What's wrong?" "I-I just thought she'd never get the chance to meet you and it made me feel so bad for her." "Shhh, its okay I'm here now." "I really missed you Andy..." "I missed you too." I hugged her and she hugged back. Right when we pulled away, our faces were right in front of each other. I looked down to her lips, and then back to her eyes. I broke the space between us and kissed her. This, this felt right. I lived for moments like this. Just then a little voice started saying, "Mama and papa sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g!" We pulled away with both of our cheeks radiating red.

I turned my attention to Faith as I picked her up, my back to Monica."Hey Andy," Monica said. "What?" I asked as I turned around, only for ice cream in an ice cream cone to be smudged across my cheek. Faith could not stop laughing. I put Faith back on the ground, and said "oh you wanna play that game?" I asked in a mischievous tone as I started tickling Monica. "A-andy s-top!" Monica said in between breaths. I finally stopped and helped her from the bench. Monica picked up Faith, and I wrapped my arms around Monica.

By the time we got back to the bus it was already getting dark out. It was 8 PM. Halsey would be back any minute now. The recovery for her nose would be short. "Hey princess how about you go inside and ask aunt Caity to braid your hair? I need to talk to your papa alright," Monica said to Faith and she did as told. "Sooo what'd you want to talk about?" I asked nervously. Just as she started to talk, I saw Halsey walking from behind Monica holding papers in her hand. I already knew what they were. Uh oh. "I just wanted to say I forgive you about what happened in the past. I couldn't tell you because I wasn't exactly me. But yea I forgive you," she said as she smiled. "Oh no, you don't have to forgive me." "Oh but I do. I'm sorry it took me so lon-" just then halsey appeared right next to Monica and took hold of my hand, dragging me the other way. "Sorry but we have to go!'" Halsey said as we walked. I mouthed a sorry to Monica, she mouthed an okay.

After going to the courthouse and signing the papers. Halsey and I walked out to go into the other room to file a court case at the end of warped. I walked out of there without a single word. I can't believe what I had done.

We finally arrived to the bus and were standing outside of it. I wanted to vomit because I just felt sick emotionally. "Halsey I can't do this. I won't. Let's go back and undo this mess." "If you don't go through with this, I'll put you in jail. You'll lose EVERYTHING! Do you hear me?!" Why do I also get the physco chicks. We walked in to see Monica and Josh playing on the floor with Faith. Halsey tensed up which I'm guessing was because of Josh. He saw her but immediately looked away. Ouch. Halsey handed Monica the papers. "What's this?" "Can't you read? We're fighting you for custody for the girl."
